Beneteau America, the American Sailing Association and SailTime have partnered to create the First Sail Workshop: an entry level workshop where participants learn the basics of sailing starting with a fun and interactive seminar followed by 90 minutes on the water, aboard the Beneteau First 22. The First 22 design resembles that of the popular First 20 but with a deck and rig specifically developed to enhance the learning experience of the students. It is being produced in Beneteau’s factory of Marion, South Carolina. ________________________________________________________________ The Beneteau story began more than 130 years ago when Benjamin Beneteau started building fishing trawlers in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, France.
