Headlines: Numarine’s new yacht debut at Miami, princess yachts celebrated 50 years of shipbuilding and who owns the most superyacht . It’s February 9th and this is Morgane with your daily marine news 1. Turkish boatbuilder Numarine is planning the world debut of its 60 Flybridge at Yachts Miami Beach. The Numarine 60 Flybridge adds to a line that includes the Flybridge and Hardtop 70, and the 78 Evolution. Two of the 60-footers are already on the water, with a third sold and under construction. Later in 2016, Numarine plans to add a Hardtop version of the 60. 3. Princess Yachts has contracted a German yacht toy manufacturer to create two bespoke water toys to celebrate their 50 years of building luxury motor yachts. Shaped somewhat like a lifesaver’s rescue buoy, the toy, called a Seabob, is able to carry its user along the top of the water as well as to dive below the water. The Seabob is described “the world’s fastest water sled” by Cayago AG in Stuttgart, Germany, who manufactured it, and by others as an underwater scooter or jet. 4. A new study into superyacht ownership has found that Middle Eastern owners own a large proportion of the world’s longest and most luxurious vessels Ahead of the upcoming Dubai International Boat Show, the Superyacht Builders Association has carried out a survey into the market and found that Middle Eastern owners still dominate. A grand total of 193 superyachts are owned by high-net-worth individuals from the Middle East – this represents 12% of the global fleet of vessels measuring 40m (131ft) or longer.
