Sailing boat for sale
Description
KAROLINE from KALUNDBORG. Incredibly beautiful Danish yacht. Reconstruction of a decked vessel with a hunting stern and gaff rig. Originally intended for herring drift net fishing in the Baltic Sea, circa 1900. Built by the late boat builder Henry Slots, based on an original drawing from the Kronborg Maritime Museum. Karoline was built at Kalundborg Boatyard in 1985 and launched in 1995. Karoline has always been owned and maintained by Henry Slots himself and used for summer cruises in Danish waters by the Slots family. Construction materials: Clinker-built, larch on oak. Sail area: 62.3 m2. There are three cabins with a total of 6 berths. Two wide (one and a half person) berths in the middle cabin and two in the front cabin. There is also access to a lockable toilet with a sink. In the aft cabin, there are two berths and a well-equipped chart table (pull-out). The boat is well-utilized with plenty of storage space and furnished with many luxurious details. It appears incredibly well-maintained throughout. A rarely offered gem! There is hot and cold pressurized water for both the engine and shore power. Large water tanks and a large diesel tank. There is heating in all three cabins. All kitchenware, a Coop grill, two bicycles, a dinghy, and an extra set of sails (used but in good condition) are included. Karoline can be seen sailing here: https://aktivitet.foreningsadministrator.dk/skibsliste/vis/10202/KAROLINE It was dry-docked in May 2023. The bottom paint and zinc anodes have been replaced, so it is ready for summer cruising. Only selling due to a death in the family.
