This approximately 2.7-ton sailing boat with a short keel and 1.05 tons of ballast offers excellent sailing characteristics and superb sea behavior in wind and waves with high speed potential. Designed and built for stability along the French Atlantic coast, it is used as a one-design class with large fleets. The rig features no backstays! (Mast optionally equipped for backstays.) Easily handled by two people, all halyards (new) and sheets made of Dyneema can be operated from the cockpit via two Lewmar winches. There are two additional sheet winches in the cockpit. The mast, running rigging, and standing rigging were all replaced in 2023. The strong curves in the hull and cockpit, a unique feature of Archambault, make sailing in rough seas very pleasant. Below deck are four berths. A small sink and a single-burner stove, along with storage compartments for provisions and dishes, allow for both day trips and longer voyages. Almost all cushions were replaced in 2021. Engine: The Lombardini 11 HP with shaft drive and two-blade folding propeller achieves speeds of 4.5 - 5 knots and maneuvers easily in the harbor.
