Description

- The boat has serial number 146 and was built in 1987 by X-Yacht in Denmark. - Relax has primarily been used for family sailing and some inshore racing. The boat and equipment are in very good condition! - Sails: North genoa 1 in Kevlar, class sail (2016 & fine), North genoa 3 in Dacron, class sail (2014 & fine), UK class spinnaker (2014 & like new), North reaching class spinnaker (2016 & fine), and North mainsail, class sail (2016 & good condition). All these sails are measured and approved according to X-99 class rules. The sails have been lightly used and regularly maintained by North. - Other sails: Purjo genoa 2 Kevlar (okay), North genoa 3 Dacron (fine), Diamond genoa 4 Dacron (okay), UK training genoa 1 Kevlar (worn), and an older class spinnaker (worn). A North boom cover is also included (good condition). - Relax is fully equipped for racing with mk2 trim, including double-command kicker, mainsail with two different gearings, inhauler, backstay trim, etc. Most blocks are Harken brand. Winches have been replaced with Lewmar. - The rig was updated from 2016-2018, including new shrouds, forestay (Dyform), turnbuckles (Hasselfors), forestay profile (Harken), as well as backstay (Selden). Backstay and backstay adjuster were also replaced. "Tie Rods" were installed (see photo). All halyards and trim lines were replaced with high-quality Dyneema (see photo). - Instruments include Nexus log and depth sounder. Raymarine GPS plotter. 2 compasses, one of which is a new Plastimo (2024). Fuel gauge and voltmeter (2016). There is a VHF radio that was never connected. - Volvo diesel engine D2, 13 hp, fresh water-cooled (2016) installed by Björnhammarvarvet, with a Gori racing propeller. The engine has been serviced annually, documentation available, and has only run approximately 200 hours since 2016. - Engine cooling fittings and sea water pump were replaced in 2016. Toilet and sink have been inspected and are in good condition but should be replaced due to age. All hoses for toilet, engine cooling, fresh and sea water have been replaced since 2016. Engine bellows are new since 2016. - In 2016, a new Eberspächer heater was also installed by the shipyard. - Regarding electrical, the boat has a C-tech battery charger, 3 AGM batteries (2022), solar panels, and an added main switch. - The boat has fresh, newly washed original cushions. Backrests in the salon are new (2024). The salon is fresh. Windows have aluminum frames of type mk2 and are watertight. See photos. - Hull, keel, and attachments are intact and watertight. Bulkhead to the forepeak is intact (see photos). Added Tie-Rods (see photo) contribute to strength. Keel bolts are fresh, and there are no signs of cracking, e.g., from grounding (see photos). - The boat has a toilet with a stainless steel tank where hoses and connections have been renovated (2018). Deck connection to the tank is available. - Other equipment includes Anchor line with Bruce anchor, 6 fenders and mooring lines, alcohol stove, pumps for fresh and sea water, 30-liter water tank, LED lights, etc. - In 2014, the bottom was renovated by sanding down to the last layer of primer. Then, 4 layers of Hempel Light Primer were applied (see photos). Since then, a thin layer of approved bottom paint (VC17 / Hempel Hard Racing) has been applied annually after wet sanding. The layer of bottom paint is thin, making it easy to apply a new coat. The bottom is in very good condition, no cracks. - The boat and sails were measured in 2022 by an authorized measurer in Sweden, and it is easy to update to a new measurement certificate, both SRS or X-99 class rules. With the hull and deck being dry and intact, it is easy to reach the class weight of approximately 3000 kg by removing equipment. - There is a complete North tuning guide, and I can show you how to tune the rig according to North with measuring instruments (Loom), Polar speeds, some tuning tricks, etc. - In racing, Relax has proven to be fast. For example, at the X-Yacht Cup in Stockholm. She also sails well up to her SRS measurement certificate. We have spent approximately 30,000 Euros on equipment, a new engine, and renovations since purchasing the boat in 2012 in Helsinki.
