Grand Banks Yachts is a luxury yacht manufacturer based in Stuart, Florida. The company was founded by Robert J. Newton and his sons in 1956 as American Marine, a custom boat manufacturer that built sailboats and motor yachts. However, the company's inception is often recognised as 1963, when they produced their first signature powerboat model, which came to be known as Grand Banks. The manufacturing facilities have relocated since the brands inception from Junk Bay, Hong Kong to facilities in Pasir Gudang in Malaysia and Singapore.
