Saga 26HT is a very pleasant and sturdy motor cruiser with a semi-planing hull. It is a Norwegian designed, high quality and economical boat built at Saga Boats in Norway. The boat is designed with the cockpit as the main living area, which is ideal for enjoying the archipelago. It feels a lot spacier than most similar sized boats, because it provides an open space all the way from the helm position to the generously sized U-shaped seating area in the aft. Starting from forward: The main cabin is finished in teak. The forward area can also be used as a U-shaped dinette, with space for four to seat comfortably with headroom of 1,83m. The table drops to make a comfortable 2.15m x 2.05m double berth, and a further single berth extends beneath the port side of the cockpit with 2.02m length and 0.51m width. The cabin features a wardrobe, a big cupboard, shelves along the sides and storage space under the berths. The heads compartment is situated on the starboard side. It features a manual marine toilet, a sink and shower with hot and cold pressurised water and ample storage space. The skipper and co-pilot each have independent seats. The standard seats in this boat have been replaced with highly ergonomic adjustable seats. The navigation equipment is centred around a Furuno TZtouch 14 inch multi function display, usually found only on commercial wessels. The galley runs along the starboard side of the cockpit. It features a 42 litre refrigerator under the skipper’s seat, a Wallas Safeflame 9000 two burner stove, an extractor hood with light over the stove, a sink with hot and cold pressurised water and a foldable tabletop providing extra space while cooking. There are three drawers and a well sized cupboard for all your kitchenware. The height of the cockpit is 1.88m. The port side of the cockpit has a cupboard under the co-pilot’s seat followed by a drawer with a nice tabletop. Access to the engine is via the cockpit floor. Additional insulation has been installed to keep sound level at a minimum. The generously sized seating area in the aft provides space for five persons dining and even more for socialising. There are separate big storage spaces under each part of the sofa and a huge storage room under the floor. A gate leads to the bathing platform that has storage lockers doubling as places to sit. The platform itself is small, but serves its purpose. The boat is specially equipped for enjoying the archipelago. It has a bowsprit with an integrated telescopic ladder, ideal for visiting nature islands and for children entering the boat. The propeller and rudder are protected by a small keel. The electric anchor windlass in the aft and the bow thruster are both equipped with remote controls. This boat is in very good condition, well maintained and used very lightly by its first and only owner. It has only been used for a couple of weeks during the summer months in the Finnish archipelago.
