The MC31 is a no compromise high performance sail racer. Through careful analysis of equipment, construction materials and processes, McConaghy Boats have been able to realise the best performance outcome per money spent. The MC31 will outperform much bigger and more expensive boats. With no rating rule constraints McConaghy have designed a clean hull with good form stability due to its deep keel and high ballast ratio. This all aids in the philosophy of bringing an exciting raceboat with the opportunity to participate in anything from local races to ocean racing on the open sea. The carbon fibre rig and rigging is standard from Southern Spars as are the carbon fibre elliptical stanchions. The two-spreader mast is in two sections for easy stowage and towing and comes with a standard mast jack for easy rig tuning. Certainly it is a great boat that would suit a sporty sailor who is serious about sailing and also both wants to go out and day sail with friends. and who is serious about racing.
