Unique Spitzgatter made of wood. Larch on oak. This beautiful vessel was built in 1919 in Norway as a racing sailboat. It is said that only eight of these boats were constructed in total. “Neptun” is a fast sailor that is remarkably seaworthy. Standing headroom is available. I have extensively restored the ship over the last 10 years (I am a boat builder), and it would be easier to list what hasn’t been done. In short, approximately 40 frames have been repaired or renewed, and many planks in the underwater hull have been replaced. The cockpit has been newly constructed, the inboard engine has been removed, thoroughly checked, and overhauled. The standing and running rigging has been renewed, and the boat sails with new sails that are two years old and hardly used. Much more has been renewed, overhauled, or optimized, but I would be happy to provide more details upon request. It can be said that this boat is in very good condition! Since a slightly larger vessel has been acquired for the family, “Neptun” is now looking for new good hands. For serious inquiries, I welcome your questions. “Neptun” will be available for viewing at its mooring until mid-October by arrangement. After that, it will be on land at our shipyard and available for viewing there.
