Sunbeam Yachts has a rich history, tracing back to 1838 when the Schöchl family founded a modest carpentry workshop. Over the years, it evolved into a leader in yacht building, known today as Sunbeam. Initially crafting wooden boats, a significant transformation occurred in 1958 with the introduction of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) using vacuum lamination, marking a pioneering move. By 1961, they embraced epoxy in production, setting industry standards. Achieving the "European Yacht of the Year" award for the Sunbeam 46.1 and later for the 32.1, they underscore their pursuit of excellence. Despite Austrian roots, Sunbeam Yachts expands across Europe, solidifying their presence in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.
