Coronet 41 "The Ferryman" Designed by Dutch yacht designer Dick Zall, this Coronet 41 was laid down in 1995. The complete construction and handover took place in 1996 and remained with the first owner until it was acquired by the current owner in 2013. The Coronet 41, an aluminum construction with round bilge and electric-hydraulic lifting keel, combines the characteristics of a comfortable and elegant sailing yacht with high seaworthiness and outstanding sailing performance. With a draft of approximately 0.8 meters when the keel is raised, shallow waters and grounding are not an issue. The aluminum hull ensures stability and safety. The generous layout and optimal use of interior space make the Coronet 41 a perfect companion for long-distance voyages worldwide. "The Ferryman" underwent an almost complete refit from 2017 to 2020. The goal was to transform the Coronet 41 into a practical, technologically well-equipped, and everyday usable sailing yacht. The result is a vessel that can call any waters worldwide its home. The entire boat has been insulated for cooler days and environments. A reliable Dickinson diesel heater now serves as the heat source, keeping the entire boat pleasantly warm even in sub-zero temperatures. All windows and hatches have been replaced, and large air vents ensure optimal air exchange inside the boat. The sanitary facilities have been completely replaced with a new onboard toilet and seawater-resistant stainless steel faucets, except for the sinks. Hoses and water supply have been renewed, and the through-hulls have been replaced with TruDesign valves. The galley now features a space-saving Engel fridge drawer and a Force 10 gas stove with an oven. The entire electronics have been replaced, with almost all old cables removed. The lighting has been fully converted to LED. There are 230v sockets throughout the boat. The inverter receives sufficient power from four 240 Ah service batteries. For higher power demands, the 3.5kw Whisperpower diesel generator serves as a reliable and stable power source. Automatic chargers from Mastervolt and Sterling ensure that all batteries are charged while sailing or in port. Significant investments have also been made on deck of the Coronet 41. All blocks, lines, pulleys, genoa tracks with sliders, halyard stoppers, and more have been replaced. The electric-hydraulic lifting keel system has been renewed, and tracks have been installed in the keel tunnel. The mainsail and staysail have also been newly made during the refit. The owner's particular focus is on maximum safety in case of breakdown or emergency. Each consumer is individually secured. All cable ducts and channels are easily accessible. Several extra-large busbars ensure sufficient grounding throughout the boat. Documentation including wiring diagrams is available. All water lines are easy to trace. Convenient openings in the floor provide easy access to each seawater valve. Two large water tanks with their own water pump provide ample drinking water. The new Beta Marine diesel engine from 2022 is mounted on rails. This allows it to be disconnected from the shaft and easily moved into the salon. And when the wind is not blowing, 300 liters of diesel should be sufficient to safely reach the next port. Technically, the Coronet 41 is in a very good and complete condition. Visually, the upper deck may require some touch-ups in certain areas. There is no risk of rust due to the material. The predominantly original interior and teak flooring are in sufficiently well-maintained condition.
