Lemsteraak “Saefthinge” Cabin LayoutThe “Saefthinge” is a unique and beautifully sailing monument! A special and authentic cabin yacht by A. de Boer from 1930. At that time the leading yacht builder from Lemmer, renowned for his fast yachts. She was then named “Op Gods Vertrouwen” and intended for mussel fishing under number ZZ 4. During WWII, she was confiscated by the Germans and in 1946 found in Flensburg by a Dutch tugboat captain. Over the years, she had various owners, one of whom had her renovated in 1965 following the example of the royal yacht “Groene Draeck”. A. de Boer was the designer of this renovation. The “Saefthinge” is excellently suited as a family ship with an impressive 5 separate cabins with 10 fixed berths and 2.20 m headroom. Additionally, she is an excellent sailor! This heavily built iron-clad ship measures 15.30 m x 4.65 m with a draft of 1.10 m and an air draft of 22 m. The round-bilged ship displaces 29 tons. The yacht boasts an impressive interior finished with mahogany and oak floorboards. The upholstery in the salon is from 2024. The ship is very spacious, classic, and stylish. The salon features a U-shaped sofa to port, dinette to starboard, navigation corner, and U-shaped galley. The yacht has always been very well and professionally maintained, with thoughtful improvements made annually. The current owner has had the yacht for over 25 years and is reluctantly parting with her due to lack of time! The Lemsteraak in yacht configuration is suitable for rental with or without a skipper. With 5 separate cabins, it is ideal for chartering with larger groups. The rental income can easily cover annual maintenance costs, service, mooring fees, etc. VAT is recoverable!
