This Optima 101 NOVA was moored on Lake Constance until 2022 and was sailed very little. The engine has hardly been exposed to saltwater and is therefore in very good condition. The NOVA series stands out with its light white painted interior, distinct from the standard brown topcoat with dark wood finish. Bright colors, more daylight, and better ventilation - this (more expensive) special edition was years ahead of the dark "cellar ships" of its generation. The Optima 101 is based on the successful 3/4-ton world champion DB2. Its fast hull was built over 1300 times until 1993. The exceptionally wide hull shape provides noticeably more space below deck than most boats of similar length from its generation.
