PRICE NEGOTIABLE Launched for the new Season on May 10th after being under its regular winter cover ashore in Riga, Latvia, part of the EU. Sparkman & Stephens 34 (Mk 1 - Short rig) classic yacht is a well-known and proven design by Olin Stephens.  This yacht was Part One Registered out of Colchester, England in 1974.The yacht was purchased by the Vendor in Bristol, England, in 2008, then exported and Registered in Latvia, EU, in 2009 so EU VAT has been paid.. This S&S 34 has a GRP hull with a renovated wooden cabin top and interior using high-quality woods such as Iroko, Kumaru and Merbau. Importantly, a new deck was laid about 7 years ago using 12 mm ply and 10 mm teak, extensively glued to minimise screws (a through picture is shown).  The large roof beams to the cabin are made from very strong Jatoba wood. This yacht benefits from legendary sea-keeping qualities due to the S&S hull design. The Vendor's most recent improvements include a bowsprit for the gennaker and a new solar panel. Other recent improvements include a solar panel charge control unit and new instruments in a new panel. This Sparkman & Stephens yacht benefits from a 2,500 kg lead keel making it very sea-worthy and stable. This yacht comes with a full suit of sails that all controlled from the cockpit, and a larger-than-standard Beta Marine Kubota 28 bhp diesel engine plus a recent new ZF gearbox (only about 50 hours use).  Well-maintained and with a new bowsprit and new battery plus regular maintenance items for the new season.  A highly sought-after design, this yacht is well equipped with everything working as it should and is ready to sail.
