Victoire 933 now in the online auction. Everyone can bid until October 27, 2025. Victoire 933 – Classic sailboat with ocean experience General overview of the Victoire 933 The Victoire 933 is a sailboat built in 1979 at the Victoria shipyard, designed by the renowned Dutch yacht designer Koopmans. This model is known for its seaworthiness and course stability, thanks to its round-bilge hull and thoughtful design. With a length of 9.33 meters, a beam of 2.95 meters, and a draft of 1.55 meters, this vessel offers a balanced combination of comfort and performance. The air draft is 14.5 meters. The hull is made of polyester, a material commonly used in yacht construction for its strength and relatively low maintenance. The boat is registered in the Dutch Cadastre. VAT has been paid, and documentation is available, including a registration certificate, a measurement certificate, and a nationality declaration. Victoire 933 now in the online auction. Everyone can bid until October 27, 2025. Interior and accommodation Inside, the Victoire 933 offers a headroom of 1.85 meters, providing ample freedom of movement. The layout is practical and focused on comfort during longer journeys. There are three fixed berths and two additional berths available, making the ship suitable for a crew of up to five people. The accommodation includes a dinette, a dining area, a galley, and mattresses. The water tank has a capacity of 300 liters, and there is a 50-liter holding tank. The toilet is a vacuum system that does not discharge directly into open water. A heater is installed for added comfort on colder sailing days. Engine and technical equipment The Victoire 933 is equipped with a Yanmar 2GM20 inboard diesel engine with a power of 17 hp. This two-cylinder engine starts electrically and consumes approximately 1.5 liters of diesel per hour. The fuel tank has a capacity of 30 liters. The cruising speed is around 7 km/h, with a maximum speed of 8 km/h. The engine is operational and is supported by an alternator and a solar panel for the onboard electrical systems. There are two batteries with a total capacity of 210 Ah, operating on a 12V system. Navigation and sailing equipment In terms of navigation, the boat is equipped with a GPS, depth sounder, compass, and an iCom handheld VHF radio. The sailing equipment consists of an aluminum mast and six sails, including a mainsail, jib, and genoa. The genoa 1 has been recently renewed, while the other sails are in reasonable condition. The mainsail is partially battened and has three reefs. The boat has a manual anchor windlass and two anchors with line attachment. On deck, the boat is equipped with a sprayhood, pulpit and pushpit, fenders, lines, lifelines, a swim platform, and a swim ladder. Safety and additional equipment For safety, a life raft is onboard, although it has not been recently inspected. The cockpit is self-draining, and there is a manual bilge pump onboard. A notable addition is the Clipper wind vane steering system, which the owner claims effectively functions during ocean crossings. This addition makes the boat suitable for longer journeys without constant manual steering. History and sailing experience The Victoire 933 has an interesting history. The first owner, a shipwright, finished the hull to his own specifications and made various modifications compared to the original design. Both the first and second owners undertook long sea voyages with the boat. The third owner mainly used the yacht in the Zeeland Delta. The current owner has had the boat for three years and has sailed it to destinations such as South England, the Isles of Scilly, the Channel Islands, and Brittany. The boat is not only suitable for inland waters but has also proven its seaworthiness on the open sea. Maintenance and condition The boat was last out of the water in 2024 for maintenance, including an antifouling treatment. There are no signs of osmosis. However, it is noted that the deck and hull would benefit from a polish or a new coat of paint. The sails are in reasonable condition, with some parts showing more wear than others. Sailing performance and comfort The Victoire 933 is known for its course stability, even with a relatively short keel. This makes the boat suitable for both calm inland waters and rough sea conditions. The boat provides access to sailing areas and anchorages that are less accessible to deeper-draft yachts. The combination of a robust construction, practical layout, and proven seaworthiness makes this boat an interesting choice for sailors looking for a classic yacht with ocean experience. With its rich history, functional equipment, and proven performance at sea, the Victoire 933 provides a solid foundation for new adventures on the water.
