Ariel, a charming and extremely well-built sloop-rigged lifting keel yacht designed by Baron van Hoëvell - a special and original Dutch sailboat, restored and in good condition. Originally built in 1957 at Westhaven Shipyard in Zaandam. Accommodations on board include a dining table, cushions, a refrigerator, cushions/mattresses, a gas stove, and a sink with an electric water pump. The interior is in fine condition and has been continuously renovated, the steel hull has been carefully restored, with good steel thickness and painted with epoxy and Hempel antifouling paint. The boat has berths for 5 people, with a pilot berth on the starboard side, a double berth (with pull-out) in the mid-cabin, and a double berth in the bow. We impulsively bought Ariel at auction in Holland in the summer of 2024 and sailed her home to Sejlklubben Lynetten in Copenhagen, where she is currently moored. We made many improvements to the boat, including replacing the old wooden mast with an aluminum one, having a completely new standing rig made and installed by John Mast - valued at approximately 60,000 DKK. We had the boat on land for a month and went through everything below the waterline. The dream was to sail a lot and use the beautiful boat as a floating summer house. However, we have had to admit that we have not used the boat enough, as one of us was not as fond of the sea and sailing life as expected. Therefore, we hope that Ariel can find new owners who can enjoy all that comes with owning a boat. Original drawings available. Inventory/equipment: - Aluminum mast with a brand new complete standing rig from John Mast (2025), including custom spreaders - Brand new mast step in acid-resistant stainless steel for Dutch folding mast (which can be raised and lowered without a mast crane) - Two new Harken Barbarossa winches with new handles - mounted on the mast - Lifting keel winch mounted on the coachroof - with handle - Two winches for headsails - unknown brand, older but functional - A-shaped crane (see attached photo) - Mainsail (used but good) with halyard, blocks, etc. - Genoa (red canvas sail from 1957 - old but fully functional and strong) - Storm jib - (red canvas sail from 1957 - old but fully functional and strong) - Roller headsail that fits the mast, however, without a roller furling system for now - 35hp Vetus inboard diesel engine - newer model, very good condition. - Refrigerator (220v when connected to shore power) - Electric heating system (220v) - Gas stove (two burners) - Gas bottle of Danish type with corresponding coupling. - Sink with electric water pump - Boat toilet with tank - Bilge pump - Sensors below the waterline for depth and speed. However, the connection to the GPS etc. device needs to be renewed - Fuse panel - Consumption battery and starter battery with connected generator that charges during engine operation - Various ropes - Fenders - Boat hook (aluminum telescopic)
