Comfortable, beautiful, fast, sturdy, and excellently balanced: this sailboat is timeless and perfect for the sailor who likes to stand out in a classic regatta, anchor privately in a bay, set sail with family and friends, or be admired in any marina worldwide. Levante can accommodate over six people. Currently located in Antwerp, Belgium, delivery is possible under certain conditions. Originally designed as 'GEM' (S&S design #1930/2 featured in "The hundred best"), LEVANTE was commissioned by the renowned sailor William Ziegler III. The design of 'Levante' is captivating both inside and out. In the early '70s, owner William Ziegler III won numerous races in the West and East Atlantic Ocean with GEM. With only a handful of sister ships built, we can confidently say that this vessel is truly one of a kind. Her hull lines have remained unchanged, preserving her original performance characteristics. She can be easily sailed singlehandedly, as all lines lead back to the cockpit. The original sail plan and hull designs are well-preserved and stored on board. The interior and exterior are mostly original, with minor adjustments for modern comfort. She excels in light winds and can reach speeds of 8 knots with just 15 knots of wind.
