HANSIGNE DEN-24: THE BEST SPÆKHUGGER FOR BOTH RACING AND CRUISING. Tip-top condition, lots of equipment, stiff hull and deck, thoroughly renovated by the original designer Peter Bruun with, among other things, a new deck, new interior, and everything-below-deck in 2012. Since then, optimized and maintained to the highest level. Here you truly get the Spækhugger that is 'THE SAILBOAT FOR EVERYTHING': • Racing on up-and-down courses and singlehanded racing: Stiff hull and deck, great bottom finish, good sails, and plenty of smart details that help optimize your boat handling, as well as an autopilot. All unnecessary interior parts can easily be dismantled. There is a center lift for easy cleaning of the bottom before racing. For the last 13 years, Hansigne has raced in the top 10 in the Svanemølle Bay Wednesday races, the Øresund Trophy series, and the Danish Championships for Spækhuggere. She also has a great history from 'the old days,' including winning the Spækhugger Danish Championships in the 80s. • Sjælland Rundt and similar distance racing: Hansigne's good racing qualities also come into their own here, supplemented by a storm jib and two reefs in the mainsail, so you are ready for all kinds of weather, as well as all necessary equipment for life on board: Mattresses, lee cloths for the midship berths, gimballed mounts for the stove so water can be boiled and cooking can be done in high seas, as well as a toilet seat for safe use of a bucket. In addition, necessary safety equipment, light on the windex, and a battery that can provide power all the way around. Hansigne has sailed Sjælland Rundt with a four-man crew seven times since 2017. (See short on-board video from Sjælland Rundt here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CSzxBLgyS/) • Cruising and family sailing in full comfort: Two beautiful, removable handcrafted galley boxes with all necessary kitchen gear, a modern and bright cockpit tent, and a modern, bright, and wide sprayhood. Bright, beautiful, and functional interior in varnished Oregon pine and untreated teak, with white-painted ceilings and sides. Delicious mattresses, new foredeck hatch with glass, and good storage solutions. Easy-to-operate and safe anchoring gear with a 4kg Rocna anchor and a beautiful anchor lantern, as well as a stable 4hp outboard motor gives you every opportunity for a good, safe trip with friends or family. Hansigne has sailed 3-4 week summer cruises most years since 2012 and easily accommodates two adults and two children. She has been all over Denmark, in Sweden and Germany – there is nowhere you cannot go with Hansigne, in full comfort and safety. • Winter storage on land: Original and lightweight boat cradle, NOA tarpaulin frame, as well as a professional and custom-fitted 'heavy' tarpaulin ensures a safe and ventilated wintering on land. MORE ABOUT HANSIGNE DEN-24 DEN-24 is from the year 1971 and is known as one of the best Spækhugger hulls due to stiffness and good quality. On that basis, it was selected by Peter Bruun for renovation. In 2012, Hansigne was renovated by Peter Bruun, the original designer: • New deck • New deck fittings • New rudder fittings • Keel removed and reinstalled, set in rubber • Freeboard repainted • New interior (everything below deck is renewed, incl. mattresses) • New boom (from John Mast) The mainsheet is trimmed in a very well-functioning bridle, which provides plenty of space in the cockpit (i.e., no traveler taking up space in the cockpit). The mast can be adjusted for both mainsails with slides and without. All halyards are led to the cockpit. Since the renovation in 2012, continuously optimized and maintained by one owner at a high level, e.g.: • New, swept-back spreaders (from Per Riisvang) • Two galley boxes of teak and Oregon pine, removable • Renewed purchase system in the boom • Continuous renewal of shrouds, stays, and running rigging (most recently a new forestay in 2025) • Continuous optimization, e.g., various adjustments according to the trim book and newest experiences from the Aarhus group/Spækhugger field, high-quality turning blocks for the genoa, external fuel tank, and much more. INTERESTED? Boat and equipment can be inspected by appointment – contact Niels M. Thøgersen at +45 20498270, or e-mail [email protected].
