Wellcraft Scarab now in the online auction. Everyone can bid until March 16, 2026. Performance and propulsion Under the hood are two Mercruiser 377 MAG DTS gasoline engines, each with a power of 320 hp. These engines were installed in 2016 and currently have approximately 280 running hours. The Bravo One stern drives and 22” propellers ensure direct and efficient power transmission, resulting in a cruising speed of about 29 km/h and a top speed of around 46 km/h. Thanks to the digital Mercury instrumentation, fuel consumption per engine can be accurately monitored; at a speed of 26 knots, it is around 40 liters per engine. The combination of power, precision, and control makes this Scarab an impressive presence on the water. Hull and construction The hull of this vessel has been completely revamped between 2015 and 2018. This included replacing wooden parts with marine plywood, redesigning the interior layout, and reconfiguring the helm console and engine room. The V-bottom provides excellent handling, even at higher speeds or rougher conditions. The exterior has been recently repainted and polished, including the swim platform and rub rail, enhancing the ship's modern look. Comfort and interior Inside, the Wellcraft Scarab offers sleeping space for four people, with an additional berth if needed. The standing height of 1.70 meters makes the interior accessible and functional. Onboard amenities include an electric toilet, a shower, a refrigerator, and a two-burner stove. The electrical system has been expanded to include a 3500W inverter, shore power connection, battery chargers, and four batteries with a total capacity of 540 Ah. The lighting is entirely LED, both inside and outside, including underwater lights. Navigation and electronics In terms of navigation, this Scarab is equipped with modern equipment, including a Simrad 12” touchscreen chartplotter, depth sounder, fishfinder, log/speedometer, wind gauge, and VHF radio. The digital Mercury instruments provide real-time information on parameters such as RPM, oil pressure, engine temperature, and fuel consumption. A Simarine monitor offers insight into the electrical system and battery status. This comprehensive equipment makes the vessel suitable for both day trips and longer voyages. Outdoor space and equipment The cockpit features comfortable outdoor cushions, a cockpit table, a bimini with sliding construction, and a cockpit tent for shelter. The swim platform with telescopic swim ladder makes it easy to access the water. For anchoring, there is an electric windlass with 50 meters of calibrated chain and a Delta anchor. The self-draining cockpit and electric bilge pumps contribute to onboard safety. Additionally, there is an eight-person life raft onboard, valid until 2025. Suitable for sporty and recreational use This Wellcraft Scarab is designed for speed and agility but also offers enough comfort for relaxed day trips or short stays onboard. The boat has mainly been used at sea and is ideal for enthusiasts of offshore sailing, water sports, or quick trips between coastal towns. With its powerful engines, modern navigation equipment, and thoughtful layout, this vessel is ready for a new chapter on the water. Are you looking for a sporty motorboat with character, style, and extensive equipment? Then this Wellcraft Scarab from 1982 is an intriguing option to explore further.
