It is with a heavy heart that we put our beautiful sailboat up for sale – unfortunately, our health no longer allows for it. For the past 5 years, we have mostly taken short summer trips on it. The Scanner 399DS is a perfect combination of a "real" sailboat and a "real" deck salon cruiser – built in Stockholm with high quality and approved for crossing the Atlantic. Advantages of 399DS: - Built on a 391 hull (racing boat) with a true DS superstructure, deep/protected cockpit, and a clever layout – the perfect 4 + 2 boat. - Fantastic large and bright U-shaped salon with long benches (see pictures) with free passage to the galley/2 cabins with direct access to their own toilet. - Large windows with unobstructed views from the U-sofa/galley – perfect in port and while sailing. - Plenty of storage space. - The boat is easy to sail and set up for "single" sailing with bow thruster and all sheets/halyards to the cockpit. Draft only 1.7 m with fin/bulb keel. - Bathing platform with foldable deep ladder. The boat is in – close to – perfect condition. 2025: New Sprayhood and complete new cockpit tent (Full standing height). Also, new halyards/sheets and new fenders/fender socks. New built-in dimmer LED lights throughout the boat. Electric/solar-powered ventilation hoods. 2025: Engine received a major overhaul with replacement of wear parts, etc. Brand new batteries. 2024: New latex top mattresses in both double cabins, New guardrail with side opening. 2024: New Lewmar wheel with quick release - slightly smaller for easier passage, but still possible to steer from the side. 2023: All cushions/mattresses reupholstered and new cushions for the cockpit. 2023: Installation of bow platform with anchor roller and eye for spinnaker. 2023: New electric furler on forestay – roller genoa, New Garmin 9” chartplotter. 2023: New Carbon X mainsail and Carbon X 140% Genoa from UK Sails as well as a new Lazy bag/boom cover (Dracon sail in good condition included - Mainsail and Jib). 2021: New electric freshwater toilet (Jabsco Quiet regular), folding propeller. Other equipment: Teak in cockpit + flexiteak on deck, Autopilot, Electric winch for halyard/sheet/genoa, Central heating (Webasto), gas oven, gas stove, electric+microwave oven, fridge with freezer, 230Volt outlets, 2 toilets (1 with shower), shower on bathing platform, solar panels… all necessary equipment can be included - no need to buy extra to enjoy/sail the boat.
