The Sweden Yacht 42 is a strikingly beautiful sailing yacht that takes you wherever you want to go in style and at speed! This is one of the most elegant 42-footers ever built, with lines and dimensions that create a perfect balance between appearance and sailing performance. The boat sails well and handles rough conditions in heavy weather just as gracefully as a gentle breeze in the archipelago. The boat feels large and spacious for its 42 feet, and part of the explanation is that the length of 13.25 metres corresponds to 43.5, not 42 :). This is a peculiarity shared with some other boats from Orust and the surrounding area. Perhaps one doesn’t want to ‘overdo it’? Below deck, the boat is light and spacious. In total, there are three separate cabins, each with a double berth. The owner’s cabin in the bow has its own toilet and a spacious shower, whilst the two aft cabins share the toilet, which is located directly to port of the companionway. To starboard of the companionway is the galley, fitted with twin sinks, a gas hob with oven and large fridges. The saloon features a substantial U-shaped sofa and an impressive saloon table. Opposite the sofa is the chart table with a really large work surface. What strikes you when looking around the boat are the many storage compartments, which are unusually easy to access and larger than on most other boats. In addition to the standard features of the Sweden Yachts 42, this one also has a chest of drawers in the fore owners cabin instead of the sofa that is standard, i.e. even more storage. There is room here for all your belongings during long voyages across the open seas! This boat has been well looked after and is now being sold by its second owner. The first owner bought it new in Jersey and used it very sparingly in harbour and around very local waters, i.e. not even to England. The current owner bought her there in spring 2018 and sailed her home to Sweden. As Jersey, being part of the Channel Islands, is part of a VAT-exempt area, VAT was paid on import into the EU. This was done in Dover. Once in Sweden, the boat was used for sailing here at home, based on the Swedish west coast. Between 2020 and 2024, the boat was prepared for long-distance sailing whilst also being used for sailing in home waters, and in 2024 the boat was sailed to the Caribbean. During the 2025 season, the boat was sailed in the southern part of the Caribbean, and after being laid up for the season in Trinidad, it sailed north to the US Virgin Islands and from there by ship to Amsterdam. In May 2026, the boat will be sailed back to Sweden. One of the many proud boats from the Orust region, appreciated and admired all over the world. See the attachments in the advertisement for a comprehensive equipment list, as well as the original brochure and a test report from when the boat was new, at that time, alongside a Hallberg-Rassy 43 and a Malö 41 (later 43).
