The 'Morgenster', a robust two-masted Klipper measuring 24.25 m, has been converted into a comfortable houseboat. Is this something for you? Available immediately with a mooring in Zeewolde. This means the beautiful rental mooring on the outer side of the harbor, adjacent to the Randmeren, is transferable. Additionally, the ship is part of the vessel carousel, so if you prefer to dock elsewhere, that’s not a problem. Built in Belgium at the Boelwerf Temse, it’s clear that this ship is suitable for navigating through Belgium and France. So if you’re planning to travel south with your home, seize your chance! The ship is partially self-sufficient with plenty of water and diesel on board, a generator, a geyser, and even a water purification system to convert outside water into drinking water via filters! Sailing south isn’t possible, but if you have plans for beautiful trips across the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea, you’re in the right place; the ship has complete rigging that has just been checked: mainsail, jib, and mizzen are all in good condition and ready to set sail. With many winches on deck, the ship is easy to handle with two people, especially since it’s not heavy to maneuver and the sails are manageable. Below deck is a spacious interior with a comfortable salon amidships that boasts significant height due to the ship's large hull shape. On starboard side is the side entrance and on port side is the open kitchen galley equipped with all the amenities you need for comfortable living. Further forward is a large area currently set up as a lounge but can easily be adapted for other purposes. At the back of the wheelhouse there’s access to the salon which was previously used as the skipper's quarters but is now configured as a bedroom with an en-suite wet room featuring a shower, toilet, and other sanitary facilities. Underneath the wheelhouse sits the DAF 615, an indestructible engine that has been overhauled and runs like a charm. In the engine room are also some new and old installations such as the Mitsubishi generator, inverter, and charger. The engine room can be accessed via a door from the wheelhouse through a workspace filled with tools and parts for when needed. On deck is a mechanical steering system with a quadrant at the back and in front of it is a spacious self-draining cockpit where you can sit sheltered from strong winds or rain. Also noteworthy is the spud pole that has recently been installed allowing you to easily anchor in shallow waters or dock in harbors or turn around in narrow waterways. In short, this is a beautifully well-documented and inspected ship that you absolutely must visit if you have plans for living aboard!
