Grand Banks 32 Sedan. I will try to describe the condition of the boat as honestly as possible. The hull is in very good condition. When we bought the boat, the bottom was completely sanded down so there was no old antifouling left. It was then treated and new antifouling was applied. When the new engine was installed, the boat also received a new and larger propeller. The engine is an Iveco 138 HP, 6-cylinder diesel. We believe it is from around 2014 and it has only run approximately 500 hours. We have never had any problems with the engine. It has been serviced every year, including oil changes and the necessary maintenance. The diesel tanks are the original tanks from 1980. We have never opened them for internal inspection, so we cannot tell you exactly what they look like inside. However, we have never experienced problems with dirt or contamination in the fuel system. The boat has new batteries for the bow thruster, engine starting and domestic/service system. There is also a small Volvo generator installed. We have never used it, and as far as we know, the previous owner did not use it either, so we cannot guarantee its present operating condition. Regarding navigation equipment, there are chartplotters both inside the wheelhouse and on the flybridge. The boat also has autopilot, which can be operated from both steering positions, as well as radar. The windows are watertight, but the wooden frames need painting. The teak deck shows its age, as you would expect on a boat of this age. Near the steps leading up to the flybridge, approximately four teak strips have lifted slightly. Apart from this, we consider the teak to be in reasonable condition for its age. There are also a few places where some of the rubber caulking is missing and will need attention. The mast needs to be sanded down and repainted. So there is some cosmetic work to be done, and we do not want to hide that. But regarding the two most important things – the hull and the engine – we consider them to be in very good condition, and we have had no problems with either. Of course, if you are seriously interested, the boat can be lifted out of the water so that you, or a surveyor of your choice, can inspect the underwater hull properly before purchase. We hope this gives you a good and honest picture of the boat. Please feel free to ask any further questions.
