For those who want to experience the beauty of sailing, be greeted in the harbor with “Oh, what a beautiful ship!” and sail past other boats at a tacking angle of 70 degrees, Oh Charly is the right vessel. She glides through the waves with elegance, making it a dream to sail her. Oh Charly is a Scandinavia Lotus S40 designed by Knut Reimers and built in 1972. It is the cruising-capable evolution of the classic archipelago cruiser. An elegant design that is hard to find today. Over the last 10 years, Oh Charly has been lovingly and dedicatedly restored and now presents herself in excellent, sail-ready condition. She is wonderfully suited for single-handed sailing, with all halyards and controls led back to the cockpit. She tracks beautifully without noticeable helm pressure and at an astonishing speed. On a close reach, she quickly reaches 6 knots, and with a spinnaker on broad reaches, she can even exceed 10 knots. The aft cabin is designed for two people, while the forepeak provides enough space for another two to snooze comfortably. Further details regarding her history are available upon request.
