Multi hull boat for sale
Description
The TANE is one of James Wharram's earliest designs, based on his two Atlantic crossings and building experiences between 1954 and 1965. Intended as a class of fast, easy-to-build sailing catamarans for club races, the TANE proved to have great appeal to builders who wanted to make long sea voyages. Many TANE's have been built, but it has never become a racing class. To increase comfort, the TANE was replaced in 1973 by Wharram's TANENUI. The "Kookaburra" was long lastingly built by one of the first CTC members and widened by the previous owner to 5m and upgraded with higher cabins for more comfort. Thanks to this renovation, this Tane is still in good structural condition. As she wasn't used in the past 3 years she now needs a lot of TLC. After that the "Kookaburra" can offer its new owner many more beautiful trips on the Wadden sea and along the European coasts.
