For Sale: Maram 36 Catamaran – Fast and Rare Bluewater Cruiser We’re selling our Maram 36 catamaran – hull number 1 of only 11 ever built, designed by Heinz-Jürgen Sass. This is a light, fast, and well-sailing catamaran that offers space, comfort, and pure sailing joy. Perfect for both cruising and long-distance sailing. The boat has dagger boards and sails well upwind. With a self-tacking jib, it’s easy to sail solo. The central cockpit offers excellent visibility of the entire boat. It’s incredibly relaxing to lie on one of the trampolines during longer crossings! The boat performs best when not overloaded with vacation gear, but with a bit of wind, she easily does 7–8–9 knots upwind. On a beam reach, it’s mostly your courage that sets the limit – we usually stop at 12–14 knots.
