Mochi Craft 65.6, Italian elegance with spacious accommodation and powerful engines The Mochi Craft 65.6 is an Italian motor yacht, built in 1994 by the renowned shipyard Mochi Craft. This vessel combines a characteristic retro design with modern sailing characteristics and is suitable for both inland waters and seas. With a length of 19.50 meters and a beam of 5.40 meters, this yacht offers a spacious and comfortable stay on board, with an air draft of 5.65 meters and a draft of 1.70 meters. Construction and hull The hull is made of polyester and has a stepped V-shape, contributing to stability and performance at higher speeds. The ship weighs approximately 42,000 kg and is equipped with an electric anchor windlass with anchor chain and line. The side decks and foredeck are finished with flexiteak, providing a low-maintenance and stylish appearance. The cockpit is self-draining and equipped with a cockpit table, cockpit tent, bimini, outdoor shower, swim ladder, and swim platform. Propulsion and technology The Mochi 65.6 is powered by two MAN inboard diesel engines, each with 1100 hp, installed in 2010. Both engines have approximately 600 operating hours and are electrically started. The cruising speed is around 20 km/h, with a top speed of approximately 35 km/h. The fuel consumption is about 35 liters per engine per hour. The fuel tank has a capacity of 5000 liters, making the ship suitable for longer journeys. Onboard, there are two Kohler generators (model 1500 T) with a capacity of 5000. The electrical system includes a battery charger, alternator, inverter, shore power connection, and 10 batteries. All batteries were replaced in early December 2024. The onboard voltage is 220V and 24V. The bow thruster and stern thruster are hydraulically operated, making maneuvering a breeze. Navigation and steering The steering is dual, with steering wheels on both the main deck and the flybridge. Navigation equipment includes AIS, autopilot, depth sounder, GPS, chart plotter, compass, log/speedometer, VHF radio, radar, and wind gauge. The flybridge is equipped with a crane (hoist). Interior and accommodation Inside, the ship offers a headroom of 2 meters and is equipped with central heating (Kabola, 2017) and air conditioning. The accommodation consists of two double cabins, a cabin with two single beds, and a separate crew cabin aft. In total, there are six fixed berths and three additional berths available. There are 4 wet cells onboard, each with a shower and sink. One wet cell is equipped with an eco-toilet, while the other three have Jabsco toilets (2024). The black water tank has a capacity of 250 liters and the fresh water tank 1500 liters. The toilets are connected to the black water tank and do not discharge directly into open water. The galley was renovated in 2010 and equipped with modern appliances, including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, stove, and hot water supply. A Miele washing machine is installed in the engine room. Maintenance and documentation The boat was shipped to the Netherlands in 1996 and has had three owners since. Refits were carried out in 2010, 2016, and 2022. In 2022, the ship was completely repainted with Awlgrip by Van den Enden in Waalwijk, and rub rails were installed. The last antifouling treatment and haul-out for maintenance took place in 2023. The boat is CVO certified until 2031, and VAT has been paid. Full documentation is available from the shipyard to date. Special features Hydronautica remote control for easy operation Can be sailed by two people Full inventory and spare parts included Crew quarters available Electric bilge pump Known areas of attention: adjusting the port side door, horn connection, and replacing the crane battery on the flybridge Summary The Mochi Craft 65.6 is a spacious and powerful motor yacht with a distinctive design and extensive equipment. With dual propulsion, modern navigation equipment, and comfortable living spaces, this vessel is suitable for longer stays on board and various cruising areas. The combination of classic lines and modern technology makes this yacht a striking presence on the water.
