This beautiful North Sea cutter, built in 1960 by Shipyard Metz in Urk, has a rich maritime history. The vessel started its career as UK 17 ‘Jelle’ and in 1966 moved to the De Rooy shipping company in Zeeland, where it operated as NZ 21 ‘Magdalena’. Later it was acquired by Firma Zomerdijk in Den Oever and registered as WR 134. Today, the ship no longer serves as a shrimp cutter, but has been expertly converted by the current owner into a classic motor yacht with the option for permanent residence. After its purchase in 2008, the cutter was completely stripped and rebuilt. The hull was sandblasted and coated by Hooghiemstra in Uitwellingerga, while the interior was entirely refitted in 2009 by Firma De Vries in IJlst. Additionally, a refit was carried out in 2024-2025, including the installation of a new bow thruster, hydraulic steering system, and a fully updated electronics system. Measuring 15.50 meters in length, the vessel offers space for six sleeping berths, a fully equipped galley, and a wet room with an electric toilet and shower. The Volvo Penta 135 HP diesel engine and modern navigation equipment, including Raymarine GPS/plotter, radar, and AIS, make this ship ideal for long journeys.
