Devlin Sockeye 45 is a distinctive and characterful motorboat designed by the renowned American boat builder Sam Devlin. The model is inspired by classic North American work and tugboats but constructed using a modern "stitch & glue" technique, combining laminated marine plywood with epoxy. The result is a strong, rigid, and relatively lightweight hull with a long lifespan and excellent sailing characteristics. The Sockeye series is known for its robust appearance, economical operation, and comfortable sailing - ideal for both longer trips and stays on board. Offered here is a particularly interesting and well-built one-owner example of the Sockeye 45, constructed in 2006 and subsequently CE-approved through a "Post Construction Assessment" (category C, up to 10 persons). The boat was built in Turkey according to Devlin's drawings and specifications, with a solid epoxy-sealed wooden hull (laminated plywood and oak structure). After completion, the boat was transported to Holland, where, according to the owner, it was cleared through customs and EU VAT paid, after which the current owner sailed it to Denmark. The owner used the boat for a few years in Danish waters, after which it was taken ashore and stored in a dry shed. This has had a very positive effect on the overall preservation condition. The engine - a Perkins 135 hp diesel - has only run for 186 hours. Interior and layout: The boat is designed in a classic trawler style with good use of space and a cozy atmosphere. The layout is based on the original Devlin drawings and includes: * Wheelhouse with good visibility * Salon and living area where the sofa arrangement can be converted into a bed * Galley and functional work areas with the possibility of a dishwasher * Large cabin in the bow with a double bed * 2 toilets and bathing facilities * Crane on the roof with the ability to lift a rib (Dismantled - up to 250 kg) The design combines functionality with maritime charm. Highlighted equipment: * Perkins 135 hp diesel engine * Hydraulic gearbox and steering * Bow thruster (Lewmar) * Diesel generator * 220V and 12V system * Electric windlass * Installed radiators * 500-liter fuel tank This is a truly special boat for the discerning buyer who desires: * Classic trawler/tugboat look * Solid epoxy/wood construction * Low engine hours A boat with plenty of character and potential - suitable for longer stays, cruising, and as a floating holiday home.
