Granada 27, 1977 model — easy and well-maintained sailboat with brand new electric drive and documented history This Granada 27 is an affordable and easy-to-sail classic that has been upgraded with a completely new electric motor. A Torqeedo Cruise 4.0 FP was installed brand new in 2021, complemented by a Flexofold folding propeller from 2024 — a combination that provides good speed with low power consumption and no hassle with cooling systems, oil changes, or leaking sail drive bellows. The power supply consists of 2 x 50Ah 48V lithium batteries, monitored via Victron SmartShunt and an Orion-TR DC/DC converter, as well as a fully automatic Noco 48V/20A charger. Additionally, there is a newer service battery with a Ctek 7-step charger for standard 12V consumption. With this setup, there is a range of approximately 5 hours of sailing at 4 knots/1000W. Receipts and documentation for both the motor and electrical installation are available. Onboard, you will find a complete Simrad instrument set — chart plotter, depth sounder, log, wind meter with display, and TP22 autopilot — all running on Simnet/NMEA2000, making it easy to expand or replace individual components. There is also a VHF antenna in the mast for an older DSC VHF and a backlit compass from 2009. The sail wardrobe is well-stocked: mainsail, roller genoa with Furlex roller furler, gennaker, as well as a couple of older extra sails, and an almost unused spinnaker from 2005 (used about 3 times) with accompanying spinnaker pole and an additional older spinnaker. The relatively new lazy pack with matching sprayhood is in very good condition and features several practical, innovative details. For comfort and safety equipment, the boat is well-equipped: alcohol stove, fire extinguisher and fire blanket, water tank with electric pump, guardrails, swimming ladder, cockpit table, windbreaks, 2 anchors, boat hook, various lines and new mooring lines along with 4 fenders. There are also boards and mattresses for extra sleeping space below deck. Known issues you should be aware of: The electronics need a review, and the chart plotter should be replaced — it has only been used for the depth sounder so far. Only the depth sounder and autopilot work among the electrical instruments; the rest have issues due to wiring faults from previous owners. The companionway needs new boards. The sloped foredeck is slightly soft at the ventilation point (only there). The sheave at the masthead for the mainsail halyard is broken. The Granada 27 is known as an easy-to-handle sailboat that can easily be sailed solo — a well-maintained classic with modern documented electric drive and a thoroughly considered equipment level where you know the boat's weak points in advance.
