Price Reduced December 2025 This beautifully presented Swordsman 30, Swordsman's award-winning powerboat, is ready for a new home after a 2024 refit. The Swordsman 30 is a great boat for Coastal cruising and long weekends. She can sleep four comfortably and the cockpit is large enough to entertain more. She has always been "dry sailed", and spent 8 years in storage under shrink wrap "superfluous to the first owners' needs prior to the current owner recommissioning her, accounting for her exceptional condition. Some of the systems on this Swordsman 30 have remained unused by the current owner: VHF radio, shower/wash basin and scavenge system, calorifier, water storage/pressuriser/sink, ceramic hob. (There has never been any cooking onboard, so there are no residual odour in the upholstery). There is also a new/unused VHF radio Raymarine handset on this Swordsman 30 (The current owners use an ICOM handheld radio which is included). Based on the successful Fairey Spearfish design, this modern Swordsman 30 version outshines the original. The 440Hp engine coupled with Hamilton jet propulsion both with minimal hours on this Swordsman 30 together with a powerful bow thruster makes this boat very manoeuvrable. In addition to her 2024 refit, this Swordsman 30 benefits from Raymarine navigation equipment, Victron 2.5Kw inverter, heating to all internal areas, microwave, radiant heat ceramic hob, deck and cockpit fridges, low-level table/cushion to convert forward space into double berth, substantial bathing platform, anchor/windlass and, winter-cover protecting entire boat and keeping her in pristine condition all year long. Cabin upholstery on this Swordsman 30 is "as new", Morpheus has been principally used as a day boat within the Solent. 2024 Refit New spray hood New full cockpit enclosure cover New topsides vinyl wrap in dark blue New yellow boot top New batteries New fire extinguishers New exhaust hose (straight through) New raw water intake and shut-off valve New battery charger (Alpha 12v/60 amp upgrade) New jet drive anodes throughout New jet drive cutlass bearing All thru-hull shut off valves inspected and greased. Brokers Comments Swordsman 30 traditional boat of the year 2007. MORPHEUS was originally built as a Solent weekender and run-around for the owner of one of the UK's largest marina operators and as such no expense was spared on her build and maintenance. She is now offered for sale by her current experienced and careful owner with low hours. Dry stack stored to reduce wear and tear. MORPHEUS is privately owned with UK VAT paid. She is superbly equipped and has been lightly used. More pictures and video available on request. Owners Comments She is currently 376 hrs. and fully functional before laying up for the winter '25/26. She continues to be under her covers with electric heating in the cabin and engine compartment. She will be serviced before re-entering service in early April: new oil, filter, anodes, impeller etc. Gearbox. Morpheus benefits from an electrically activated ZF reversing gearbox, permitting rapid and convenient expulsion of any ingested detritus into the jet drive (it is not for the purpose of going astern). Without this, removal is a slow arduous process involving the unbolting of a hatch, manual clearing of debris, and then refitting. Until this is completed, both power and steerage may remain entirely lost, though more commonly the effect of more minor debris ingestion is to cause inefficiency and heavy vibration at cruise, leading to increased jet drive wear if not addressed. Given that heavy weed that may cause the more pronounced manoeuvring loss is most likely to occur inshore or within port, where other traffic washes it into the channel and continues to pass nearby, time may often be of the essence for regaining thrust and control if misadventure is to be avoided. The current owner routinely clears the jet drive upon leaving, as a matter of good practice before cruise power is applied. This is not realistically feasible without such a gearbox. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Construction Deck moulding and deep "V" hull laminated with isophthalic resin, chopped strand mat, and woven rovings with foam core stiffening topsides and deck. All bottom stringers, longitudinals and engine beds are constructed to the same standards as used in the original production Fairey Spearfish. Hull to deck laminated together to provide strength and ensure watertight joint, three sets of spray rails to ensure a dry ride. The large cockpit area is finished in laid teak. Hinges and catches to engine hatch and lazarette are stainless steel, flush fitting with discreet fastenings. Plenty of locker space beneath cockpit seating. Laid teak to side decks and foredeck all teak is solid and bonded to the GRP deck with no visible fastenings. 6 substantial, custom-made stainless-steel bollards for mooring lines. Mechanical IVECO 440 hp Intercooled Turbo Diesel – 334 hours serviced every 50 hrs Seller will either service the engine when due, or service it once a sale is agreed. ZF Marine Gearbox (reversing) Hamiltonjet H274 Waterjet offers a number of advantages over conventional shafts & propellers: · Greater efficiency at speed · Precise steering control at all speeds · Shallow draft with no underwater appendages · Smoother and quieter. Large seawater strainer above the water line. Bow Thruster with helm controls for ease of operation. Rear lazerette and engine compartments have lighting for inspection and maintenance purposes. Rear lazarette has 240v RCB protected ground power and 12v, useful for maintenance tasks onboard. DIESEL: Capacity - 400 Litres in 2 stainless steel tanks. Bilateral fuel filler caps.
