Avanga 620 now in the online auction. Everyone can bid until March 16, 2026. Avanga 620 Sloop – Wooden charm with modern sailing characteristics The Avanga 620 is a stylish and characterful sloop from 2023, designed by Adrie van Galen and built by Avanga Sloepen. This 6.20-meter-long boat combines the warm look of wood with practical sailing characteristics and a thoughtful design. Thanks to the application of an epoxy layer below the waterline, the hull is completely sealed against water ingress, contributing to the durability of the vessel. The Avanga 620 is ideal for relaxing trips on inland waters, canals, lakes, and rivers. Timeless design with practical layout The hull of the Avanga 620 is built with a round bilge, providing a stable position in the water and smooth sailing. The wooden finish gives the sloop a classic look, while the design focuses on comfort and ease of use. The boat features an open cockpit with ample seating space, made possible by the choice of an outboard motor. This eliminates the need for an engine well, creating extra space in the interior. The 3-meter headroom is exceptional for a sloop of this size and enhances the feeling of openness on board. The steering is done via a wheel placed in the cockpit, ensuring a relaxed and clear sailing experience. The boat is equipped with a single rudder and an additional fin on the outboard motor, resulting in a calm and stable course, even at low speeds. Motorization and performance The Avanga 620 is powered by a 2022 Mercury Barbados outboard motor. This 2-cylinder gasoline engine delivers 10 hp and is electrically started. With a cruising speed of 8 km/h and a top speed of 12 km/h, this sloop is ideal for recreational use on calm waters. The motor has approximately 150 running hours and is fueled by a 10-liter fuel tank. The quiet operation of the motor allows for peaceful enjoyment of the surroundings. The electrical system includes an alternator and one battery, sufficient for basic onboard amenities. The boat is equipped with a swim ladder, bimini top, cockpit cover, fenders, and lines, enhancing comfort and safety while sailing. A lifebuoy is also onboard. Includes road trailer and additional equipment The Avanga 620 comes with a 2018 Freewheel road trailer. This braked trailer with a license plate has a load capacity of 1200 kg and is suitable for transporting the sloop weighing 750 kg. With compact dimensions (500 x 200 cm), the trailer is easy to handle and store. The boat is supplied with various accessories, including paddles, two fuel tanks, four life jackets, a boat hook, fenders all around, and a cockpit tent. This equipment makes the sloop ready for immediate use. Sailing experience and usage possibilities The Avanga 620 is designed for ease of use and comfort. The boat is easy to maneuver and offers a stable ride, even in changing conditions. The wooden finish combined with the epoxy layer requires minimal maintenance while maintaining an authentic appearance. The sloop is perfect for day trips with family or friends, providing ample space to sit comfortably and enjoy the water. The boat has mainly been used on inland waters, canals, and lakes, where it feels right at home. The blend of a charming exterior, practical layout, and quiet motor makes this sloop an appealing choice for enthusiasts of classic-looking boats with modern features. Summary The Avanga 620 is a unique wooden sloop with a thoughtful design and comfortable sailing characteristics. The combination of an epoxy-reinforced hull, spacious cockpit, silent outboard motor, and included trailer makes this boat a versatile and attractive option for recreational use on inland waters. With its charming appearance and practical equipment, the Avanga 620 is ready for many relaxing sailing moments.
