Contest 33 from 1974 – Classic sailboat with seaworthy characteristics General features and design The Contest 33 is a sailboat built in 1974 by the renowned Dutch shipyard Conyplex. This model was designed by Dick Zaal, a well-known name in the world of yacht design. The boat's hull is round-bilge and made of polyester, a common material choice at the time due to its strength and durability. With a length of 10 meters, a beam of 3 meters, and a draft of 1.70 meters, this boat offers a stable sailing experience, both on inland waters and at sea. The air draft is 13 meters, making the boat suitable for a wide range of sailing areas, including canals and rivers with bridges. Interior and accommodation Inside, the Contest 33 accommodates three fixed berths and two additional berths, making it suitable for families or small groups.
