Remarks :Hunter 430 (1997) a capable and well-equipped offshore cruiser designed by Warren Luhrs and built by Hunter Marine— a roomy, seaworthy design that has earned a strong following among serious cruising sailors. She is currently ashore at Lefkada, Greece freshly antifouled and ready for launch, maintained by Volvo-authorised agents, and offered for sale at a realistic price by experienced sailors. An excellent opportunity not to be missed. In private British ownership since 2008, she is honestly presented and honestly priced, with a comprehensive specification that includes a generator, bow thruster, twin air conditioning, twin aft cabins each with en-suite heads and separate shower, a full Quantum sail wardrobe, and a Garmin radar suite. With the yacht ashore, a prospective buyer has the practical advantage of a survey inspection without the cost of a separate lift.   Highlights — listed below but included in Full Specs: Currently ashore at Lefkada — freshly antifouled, ready for launch; survey available without lift cost Maintained by Volvo-authorised agents Warren Luhrs design; Hunter Marine, USA (1997) Volvo Penta MD22-P 50hp diesel inboard (shaft drive) Max Power CT80 tunnel bow thruster (2009) Lugger generator 4.7kVA Air conditioning — fore (16,000 BTU) and aft (7,000 BTU, 2022) Quantum mainsail with stack pack (2014) Quantum genoa, 140% (2008); self-tacking jib (2023) Cruising chute with Karver top-down system Garmin 18 HD+ radar (2021) 200W solar panel with MPPT controller Sterling 2kW sine-wave inverter; Sterling 80Ah battery charger 4 domestic batteries (2019); bow thruster batteries (2024) 25kg Rocna anchor, 100m chain Joker RIB 2.8m tender with Mercury 5hp outboard (serviced 2023) Twin aft cabins, each with en-suite heads and separate shower Two holding tanks   Broker's Remarks The Hunter 430 is a substantial offshore cruiser that appeals to buyers who know what they are looking for: generous volume, capable sea-keeping, and a specification built up over years of knowledgeable ownership. The current owners are experienced sailors who have owned this yacht since 2008 and have equipped and maintained her properly throughout. The generator and twin air conditioning units, the bow thruster fitted in 2009, and the 200W solar panel all point to a yacht set up for serious passage-making and extended time away from marinas. Volvo-authorised agent maintenance gives confidence in the mechanical side, and the 2019 domestic battery bank and 2024 bow thruster batteries mean the electrical foundation is in good order. The navigation suite is functional and includes a Garmin HD+ radar fitted in 2021 and a working handheld VHF; the fixed VHF is currently non-functional and will require attention. The navigation instruments are dated but working, and a new owner may wish to refresh the suite to their own preference — this is reflected in the asking price. With the yacht freshly antifouled and currently ashore at Lefkada, a survey can be commissioned without the cost of a separate lift — a genuine practical saving. She is offered at a realistic price that reflects her honest condition, and we recommend an early inspection. Accommodation :Accommodation The Hunter 430 offers comfortable two-cabin accommodation with berths for six, including saloon berths. Headroom throughout is approximately 1.98m, which is generous for a yacht of this length. The interior is finished in teak with cream leather upholstery.   Layout The layout comprises a forecabin with a large double berth to starboard, a seat and vanity unit to port, and an en-suite heads with WC, sink, and separate shower. The aft cabin offers a large double berth with ample storage and a hanging locker, with its own en-suite heads and separate shower. The saloon converts to a triple berth.   Domestic The galley is fitted with a Seaward gimballed 3-burner cooker with oven and grill, a 12V Coolmatic fridge/freezer, a separate freezer, stainless steel sinks, a Goldstar microwave, and pressurised hot and cold water via a Seaward calorifier. Air conditioning is installed fore and aft: a 16,000 BTU forward unit (original) and a 7,000 BTU aft unit (2022). A radio/CD player is fitted. Cutlery, crockery, and cooking utensils are included.
