Description
We are selling our Sagitta 30 from 1967, which unfortunately turned into a larger renovation project than expected. With a house, children, and another boat, we simply don’t have the time to finish it. The boat is stored dry indoors and is partially disassembled. About the model • Designed by Aage Utzon, built at Royal System Yacht Yard in Randers, Denmark • Long-keel fiberglass hull with an external rudder • About 2 m headroom in the forward part of the cabin, which is unusual for boats of this size Current status • All internal lead and wet foam in the keel has been removed • An old grounding damage at the front of the keel has been properly repaired (approx. 20 layers of biaxial fiberglass/epoxy, both inside and outside) • The hull is now dry • Access opened for repair of the lower rudder attachment (work still remains) • Galley and dinette are dismantled (parts are included) • There are more things that need attention. Engine: Yanmar 3YM30E (2013), approx. 300 hours. The instrument panel has a fault (tachometer and LCD hour counter), but the engine starts and stops as it should. Mast and rigging included. Price idea I estimate that the engine and lead alone are worth around DKK 35,000, but to avoid dealing with dismantling and potentially scrapping the boat, we’re selling everything for DKK 30,000 in a quick sale, as we currently have ongoing indoor storage costs we need to get rid of (the storage contract may possibly be transferable if there’s interest). For reference, we paid DKK 110,000 for the boat a couple of years ago (before the hidden grounding damage was discovered (which is now repaired, but lots of other things to complete before it is ready to sail). Since it’s not certain that we’ll be able to sell the whole boat, offers on individual parts (engine, lead ingots, rigging, etc.) are also welcome. I’m including some photos from when we bought the boat so you can see what it can become, as well as some photos of its current condition (more photos and documentation of the renovation are available). Almost all parts are still there, but of course quite a bit of work remains. Keywords: spidsgatter, double-ender, restoration, renovation, project boat.
