She has the finest freeboard in the harbor! Currently on land at Rungsted harbor, she has been docked there for over 30 years. The boat was built at the Sagitta yard in Svendborgsund, back when boats were constructed with solid fiberglass. The boat is classified for ocean sailing, and a sister ship has circumnavigated the globe single-handedly non-stop for 9 months (read the book "11 meter frihed" by Christian H. Liebergreen). A family with a mother, father, and two small children also completed a circumnavigation in a Sagitta 35. It is a solid and fast-sailing construction. She was commissioned by a submarine engineer at the submarine yard in Kiel, so all details have been carefully considered. For example, the mast is mounted on the coachroof, which is safer in case of mast failure, minimizing the risk of damage to the superstructure, and the shrouds are glassed down to the bottom. She features a new taller mast from John Mast with two pairs of chainplates. The mast and rigging have been inspected, tensioned, and adjusted by Rigger Stoltz and have been continuously monitored. The boat has remained on land with the mast up to avoid unnecessary wear from stepping on and off. Furling forestay Reefing operation in the boom Freshwater-cooled Volvo Penta engine with flywheel that ensures inertia and stable engine operation even when sailing against waves. It starts EVERY time. Annual engine service has been performed by BM Marine Service in Køge. Impeller and filters have been regularly replaced. The gear cable and drive belt have been replaced with new ones. The hull fittings and valves have been upgraded to modern composite materials. The bottom has been sanded and painted every year. The freeboard has been polished annually with Renskib products. Equipment: New legal gas installation by a professional company in 2018; documentation available. Two gas burners are included.
