Around 390 units of the Wauquiez Centurion 32 were built – many of them loved, but few have been consistently maintained. This one is among the rare boats where the critical work has already been completed. The Gaia is based on the design by Kim Holman, whose sailing characteristics continue to define the Centurion 32: balanced lines, seagoing hull, solid construction. However, what matters here is less the history than the condition. Since 2020, the yacht has been systematically overhauled – not superficially modernized, but renewed at all relevant points. The underwater hull has been completely rebuilt with WestSystem and barrier coat, sea valves and through-hulls replaced, keel bolt nuts renewed, and electrical systems as well as standing and running rigging newly installed. In 2021, a new 25 mm propeller shaft and an SPW bronze propeller were added. The sails – mainsail and genoa made from Polyant Dacron – are from 2023, and both spinnakers are included. The Sole Mini26 Diesel from 2009 has logged 1,108 operating hours (as of May 2026) and was last serviced this month. Navigation and communication systems are also up to date: Raymarine Axiom 9+ with 2024 cartography, ICOM M506, and AIS via NMEA-2000 network. When it comes to classic sailing yachts, it's not just the model that matters but whether the costly and time-intensive work has already been completed. This is what makes this Centurion 32 interesting: you’re not taking on a restoration project with an open end but rather a technically modernized vessel. Additionally, it comes with officially confirmed offshore suitability through CE Design Category B – a classification that further emphasizes the seagoing character of this design. In short: A rare Wauquiez Centurion 32 with extensive technical refit since 2020, new sails, modernized navigation, and a solid offshore base – ready to sail immediately.
