PLEASE WATCH VIDEO ON THE "SELLER'S WEBSITE" FOR A COMPLETE VISUAL OVERVIEW OF THE BOAT'S CONDITION!!!! (Link to the right of photos) Are you looking for an incredibly cozy and well-maintained boat that stands out from the rest? Then our charming and cream-colored Bailey might be just what you're looking for. VENUS 31 is a Danish-built sailboat/motorsailer, designed by Palle Mortensen, who also designed the LM motorsailers. Built in 1983 at the Danica shipyard in Kolding, DK, it offers plenty of space with a beam of 3.3 m and a length of 9.40 m. With a draft of only 1.40 m, it allows for exploring even the smallest and coziest harbors. VENUS 31 is well-equipped and meets all the criteria for a comfortable sailing experience, featuring a large cockpit and a spacious seating area from which, unlike other boats of the same type, you sit high with unobstructed views in all directions, including the direction of sail. The cockpit tent can be folded down into a compartment in the hull behind the seating area, not interfering during sailing. This creates a lovely open area to relax while sailing, and if the weather suddenly turns wet or cold - as often happens in these latitudes - the tent can quickly be fastened to the wheelhouse, providing a cozy shelter to enjoy coffee in warmth and comfort. Bailey has a small pantry/kitchen at cockpit level equipped with 2 gas burners, a sink with both hot and cold water, ample storage space, and 2 refrigerated drawers. The saloon area, requiring only 2 small steps down, is cozy with good space, and further forward, there is a toilet and sink with hot and cold water, holding tank, and a spacious bow cabin. Headroom in both the wheelhouse and saloon is approximately 185 cm. To optimize movement and stay on board, we have installed small tables in both the saloon and cockpit. The original larger tables are included, as well as an extra set of cockpit cushions in light cream-colored faux leather. The sailing characteristics have fully met our expectations, and during harbor maneuvers, the powerful SidePower bow thruster is a great asset. The engine is a robust and well-maintained fresh-water-cooled BUKH DV-48 (48 hp) turbo diesel engine with approximately 3400 hours. Always well-serviced, recently had fuel hoses replaced, starts on the first try, and runs smoothly. Due to the BUKH engines' high reliability, the DV-48 model is used in lifeboats, and with continued maintenance, it is nearly indestructible, so neither age nor hours should be a concern. The diesel tank, which is inspectable, is completely free of diesel pest. The drive is a fixed shaft with a 2-blade folding propeller. The hull is made of fiberglass with an integral keel, built during the era of "laying it on thick." Therefore, it is extremely robust and shows no signs of osmosis. The hull is cream-colored with a cockpit tent and sail cover in a matching brownish color, along with beautiful and well-maintained teak trim, giving the boat a harmonious and elegant look. The boat can be viewed/tested in the water until mid-October, after which it will be transported for winter storage in a closed hall. In the event of a sale, if desired, the boat can be winter-stored here and picked up in the spring, where we can assist with launching and mast stepping. We are also open to sailing it to its new homeport if it is within a reasonable sailing distance or participating in the delivery voyage.
