Kalik 33 - Polyester sailing yacht with sporty features and spacious accommodation The Kalik 33 is a sailing yacht of Belgian origin, designed by the renowned yacht designer De Ridder and built at the Lewin shipyard in 1977. This model is known for its sporty sailing characteristics and sturdy construction. The hull is made of polyester and features a V-bottom, contributing to the stability and course-keeping of the vessel, even in stronger wind conditions. With a length of 10 meters, a beam of 3.50 meters, and a draft of 2 meters, this yacht is suitable for both inland and coastal waters. Dimensions and construction The Kalik 33 has a mast height of 16 meters and an interior headroom of 1.85 meters, providing ample freedom of movement inside. The hull is painted in a striking blue color. The aluminum mast shows some bare spots in the paint layer, which may require attention from the new owner. The anti-slip paint on the deck is peeling in some areas, necessitating cosmetic maintenance. The boat is equipped with tiller steering and a single rudder, with the helm position located outside in the cockpit. Interior and accommodation Inside, the Kalik 33 offers space for six fixed berths, including two spacious dog berths that can also be used as pilot berths. Additionally, there are two extra berths available, making the vessel suitable for families or groups of up to eight people. The accommodation features a dining area, mattresses, and a cooking stove. The manual toilet is connected to a 15-liter holding tank, and the discharge does not go directly into open water. Engine and technical equipment The Kalik 33 is powered by a Mitsubishi Drinkwaard inboard diesel engine from 1998. This three-cylinder engine delivers 25 hp and is electrically started. The fuel consumption is around 1.5 liters per hour at a cruising speed of approximately 10 km/h. A new water pump has recently been installed on the engine. The electrical system includes a battery charger, alternator, inverter, voltmeter, and shore power connection. There are two batteries on board, and the system operates on both 12V and 220V. Navigation and sailing equipment In terms of navigation, the Kalik 33 is equipped with an autopilot, depth sounder, GPS, compass, and VHF radio. The sail plan consists of five sails: a mainsail, jib, genoa, storm jib, and spinnaker. The sails are made of dacron and sport quality (North Sails). The genoa features a reefing system. The mast is aluminum, and there is one mast present. The boat features sporty rigging and layout, enhancing its sailing performance. This makes the vessel suitable for both recreational sailing and participating in races. Equipment and safety On deck, the Kalik 33 is equipped with a sprayhood (new, yet to be installed), pulpit and pushpit, fenders, lines, lifelines, and a swim ladder. An anchor with line is provided for anchoring. The cockpit is self-draining, and a lifebuoy is on board. A bilge pump is not present. Use and sailing area The current owner has used the Kalik 33 for various purposes such as day trips, holidays, sporty sailing, and weekend getaways. The boat has been used on lakes and seas, including the Zeeland Delta. The sailing characteristics are described as stable and course-keeping, even in strong winds. The combination of sporty components such as keel, rudder, and rigging sets this vessel apart from other Kalik 33 models. Maintenance and history The last antifouling treatment was carried out in 2024. The boat is scheduled to be taken out of the water for maintenance in 2025. There are no signs of osmosis present. All previous owners are known, contributing to the transparency of the maintenance history. Documentation related to the engine is available. Additional information Upon sale, the transport of the boat to Herkingen will be arranged, where the vessel will be launched. A trailer is not included. The total weight of the boat is approximately 5,000 kg. The Kalik 33 offers a combination of space, sailing performance, and practical equipment, suitable for both recreational sailors and sporty enthusiasts. With its ample sleeping accommodations and stable sailing characteristics, the vessel is also suitable for families looking to spend extended periods on the water.
