For Sale: Beneteau Oceanis 31 – comfortable sailboat in excellent condition For those seeking a reliable, comfortable, and well-maintained sailboat, we are pleased to offer this 2009 Beneteau Oceanis 31 (launched in 2010). This popular model from the renowned French shipyard Beneteau combines user-friendly sailing characteristics with a surprisingly spacious and bright interior, making it an ideal choice for both day trips and longer vacations. The current owners have been enjoying sailing on this yacht since 2015, mainly on the Grevelingen. Their reason for selling is the desire for a larger size, making this beautiful vessel available for a new owner. Design and sailing characteristics The Oceanis 31 is designed by the renowned architect duo Finot/Conq and is known for its stable sailing characteristics and ease of use. With a length of 9.30 meters (LOA 9.66 meters), a beam of 3.40 meters, and a draft of only 1.30 meters, this is an excellent vessel for both inland and coastal waters. The CE certification in class B ensures that this yacht is safely suitable for sailing on open water with multiple people on board. The round bilge hull is made of blue polyester, with a white deck and a sleek, modern look. The cockpit features a wheel steering system, and thanks to the clear layout, the vessel is easy to handle, even with a small crew. The rigging is fractional, with a Dacron mainsail and genoa (2010) and four Harken self-tailing winches. The mainsail has battens and a cover; the genoa is equipped with a furling system. Engine and technology Under sail, the Oceanis 31 is lively and course-stable, but it also delivers reliable performance under engine power. Onboard is a Yanmar 3YM20 inboard diesel engine with 21 hp, indirectly cooled and with shaft drive. The engine has received annual maintenance, with the last major service performed by a specialist before the 2024 sailing season. For power supply, the vessel has 2 service batteries and a starter battery, a battery charger, shore power connection with cable, and both 12V and 220V systems. Interior and comfort Inside, you will find a surprisingly spacious and bright salon, finished in modern woodwork with light upholstery. The interior is comfortable to use due to the headroom. The vessel offers four fixed berths spread over two cabins, plus two additional berths in the salon. The galley is fully equipped with a two-burner gas stove with oven, an electric refrigerator with freezer, and ample storage space. A boiler provides hot water for both the indoor and outdoor showers. The wet area is equipped with a manual toilet, sink, and shower. Heating is provided by a Webasto hot air heater, making it comfortable to stay on board even in colder seasons. For entertainment, there is a radio/CD player and television. Navigation and electronics The onboard equipment makes the vessel ready to sail and well-equipped for trips on inland and coastal waters. The available equipment includes, among others: - Raymarine C80 chartplotter - Raymarine autopilot - Raymarine wind meter ST70 Maintenance and condition The vessel has been on the hard annually and was recently (spring 2025) given a new layer of antifouling (Seajet copper-based, self-polishing). The hull shows only a few minor signs of use. The engine received its last major service in 2024. The vessel is in good maintenance condition and is ready to sail immediately.
