Description

Peel is one of the finest koster boats available. It sails superbly in all winds and on all types of water. It withstands both wind and sea exceptionally well. In fantastic condition with almost new standing rigging and a mast that is nearly impossible to build today, sails from Elvström in epex, and more. The list of features can go on endlessly. Treated with the very best surface finish available. It's hard to find a better boat in its size. It has won the koster cup, Apl-race classic, class victory in Tjörn runt, and many top placements for those interested in racing. Incredible for long-distance sailing (8 weeks in a row). Complete ownership history. Lars Sestervik has owned Peel for 43 years. See more pictures on Facebook "Segla koster" and in the SYS directory. Equipment: Fully equipped with, among other things, Elvström Epex used lightly, Cruising laminate works great but the mainsail doesn't look completely white. Storm jib barely used. 2 large round fenders + 2 large regular fenders, ropes. 7.5 kg original Bruce anchor with line and lead weight, Paddle, boat hook, spinnaker pole. Sail cover and sprayhood used for a few seasons and a new cockpit cover. Trailer + electric motor, new spirit stove. Contact Lars Sestervik 0708-472426, [email protected] Peel was ordered after Johan Andersson won a B22 in the sailing club Viken-Ägir's lottery. He wrote to the Finance Minister to avoid lottery tax. With the money from selling the B22 and contributions from his father, he had a K22 built according to a design by the Ohlsson Brothers. Peel is actually a K20 but with a larger rig and heavier keel, it became a K22. I bought Peel in the spring of 1980 and am the sixth owner. Initially, Peel had a varnished pine deck but was canvassed in the early 60s. In the summer of 1981, I managed to break the boom once and snap the mast twice. At the last mast break, the whole rig landed in the sea. The rigging plan was drawn by Osborne Ralph, and a new mast was built by Ragnar Johage. With that rig, Peel tacks well with just the mainsail or just the jib. In the winter of '92, I replaced the canvas deck, rebuilt the cockpit, new hatches, etc. In 2014, it was time for a minor update of trimming functions and new sails (the fourth set I've ordered).
