Danubiumbus 15 – Electric Passenger Catamaran for Sale The Danubiumbus 15, constructed in 2015 by the shipyard Marinastudio.hr, is an aluminum catamaran designed for passenger transport on inland waters. This vessel was specifically developed for panoramic cruises and served as a tourist boat on the Danube in the Vukovar region, Croatia, between 2015 and 2022. Since then, the ship has been stored in a marina on the Danube. General Overview The Danubiumbus 15 is a single-deck catamaran with a superstructure and a multifunctional salon that can accommodate up to 60 passengers. The salon features panoramic windows for optimal views of the surroundings. An eye-catching feature is the illuminated ceiling displaying a map of the region, adding a visual element during evening cruises. The hull is entirely made of aluminum, contributing to a relatively low weight and corrosion resistance. The dimensions of the ship are as follows: Length overall: approx. 15.00 meters Width without fenders: approx. 5.60 meters Width with fenders: approx. 5.80 meters Draft: approx. 0.70 meters Air draft: approx. 3.20 meters Interior headroom: approx. 2.20 meters Displacement (unladen): approx. 13.50 tons Displacement (laden): approx. 18.70 tons Payload: approx. 5.2 tons Propulsion and Power Supply The propulsion of the Danubiumbus 15 consists of two electric motors, each 30 kW. These are powered by battery packs located in both hull sections and connected in parallel. The boat also features shore power connection (220 VAC) and solar panels on the roof of the passenger area, contributing to onboard power supply. The electric propulsion is fully automated and operated from the wheelhouse. No separate engine room crew is required. The cruising speed on calm waters is approximately 13 km/h. Technical Condition and Maintenance The boat has been out of service since 2022 and is currently in storage. The last antifouling treatment was in 2015. The batteries have been tested and are functional, as well as the electric motors. An investment of approximately €10,000 to €15,000 is needed for renewed operational use. This includes replacing window rubbers and installing new flooring. Alternatively, the electric motors can be replaced with two outboard engines. Registration and Documentation The Danubiumbus 15 is registered with the Croatian Register of Shipping under registration number 55397 and ENI number 35055397. The boat comes with a complete set of technical documentation used during construction. VAT is currently not paid. Equipment and Facilities Onboard, there are various systems and amenities, including: Navigation and communication systems Fire protection system Ventilation and heating systems Life-saving equipment This equipment makes the ship suitable for various commercial applications, such as: Cruises Floating café or restaurant Parties and events on the water History and Use From 2015 to 2022, the Danubiumbus 15 was used for tourist cruises in Vukovar. During this period, the ship navigated various European inland waters. Since being decommissioned, it has been stored in a marina on the Danube. Summary The Danubiumbus 15 provides a solid foundation for commercial operation on inland waters. With a capacity of 60 passengers, electric propulsion, and a multifunctional salon, the ship is versatile for various purposes. While some investments are required to make the vessel fully operational again, the design and equipment offer opportunities for reuse in the tourism or recreational sectors.
