Impulse is an older French lady, beautifully designed by Philippe Briand as a DYNAMIQUE 62 and built in 1994 She is 62 feet long, 5 meters wide, and has a draft of 2.7 meters. She weighs 30 tons. When the wind fails, she has a 6-cylinder Perkins engine with about 130 horsepower for assistance. Below deck, we have converted the large Master Cabin into two cabins, so we now have 5 double cabins, two of which have bunk beds. There are three toilets. In the pantry, we have a new Force10 gas stove with 3 burners, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a freezer.
