Description

The Lynæs Senior 18' is a wide and very stable and safe boat. Svend Billesbølle sailed around the world in a Lynæs Senior. The width also makes the boat weatherly (turns into the wind when heeling). Therefore, this Lynæs Senior is rigged with a bowsprit, ensuring ideal sail balance. The boat can hold course with a lashed rudder. The current owner, a retired ship captain from a boat-building family, has owned the boat since 1988 and is selling it not due to the boat's age, but because of their own age. The boat is well-maintained and has been extensively restored and renewed over time, including the hull, rigging, sails, hardware, motor installation, interior, and equipment. There is sleeping space for 4 adults, plus a child in the middle forward. The gas system has 2 burners, meeting the Maritime Authority's regulations. The interior is fitted with many drawers, folding tables, and plenty of storage space. There is approximately 80 liters of fresh water in a sack, with a hand pump at the sink. 12-volt electrical lighting and outlets in the interior. Equipped with a DAB+ radio with CD and Bluetooth. Includes 3 anchors, mooring lines, and fenders. The fully renovated "Vire 7" engine replaced the original "Vire BVR" in 2016, with plenty of new and used spare parts for many years of operation. The propeller is designed by Korsør Propeller, and the shaft, stern tube bearing, and packing have been renewed. A set of sails, consisting of mainsail and jib, is from 2019, as well as the roller furling. Other sails are older but in good condition: 1 mainsail, 1 jib with hanks, 1 storm jib, 1 genoa for the roller furling, 1 light genoa with hanks (can be set without a stay), 1 small jib with hanks. Includes a boat trailer, support stands, and blocking wedges. There is a collection of old Danish nautical charts on board, so just step on board and sail off on new adventures.
