The Nautor Swan 57 CC is a centre cockpit cruising yacht designed by Germán Frers and built by Nautor Swan in Finland. The Swan 57 CC is based on the Swan 55 CC design, with increased overall length. While the Swan 55 CC was produced in significantly larger numbers, the Swan 57 CC itself was built in a very limited series between 1990 and 1997, with only five boats completed. Conceived for long range sailing and offshore use, the design combines solid construction, stiffness and a high righting capability with generous fuel and water capacities suited to extended cruising. LADY CHRISTINA is hull number 113 and was commissioned and launched in the summer of 1993 for Dutch based owners. As a 57 CC, she features the factory extended reverse transom and has had just three private owners since new. The yacht has remained in Northern European waters throughout her life. The interior is arranged in the three cabin, two heads Family Cruiser layout. The aft owner’s cabin is well suited for use at sea, with an offset double berth to starboard. Forward is a VIP double cabin, complemented by a guest bunk cabin amidships. Two large heads compartments with separate shower cubicles serve the accommodation, with the aft heads accessible directly from the saloon, creating a practical day heads arrangement. The interior is finished in teak with hand rubbed satin varnish and was refreshed in 2024 with extensive re-varnishing and interior joinery work. On deck, LADY CHRISTINA retains the clean and purposeful layout typical of Frers designed Swans. She is fitted with a keel stepped mast, rod standing rigging serviced in 2020, electric genoa furler and electric primary winches. The sail wardrobe includes mainsail and furling genoa from 2016, complemented by staysail, spinnaker and gennaker, providing flexibility across a wide range of sailing conditions. Power is provided by a Perkins 4M135 diesel engine producing 120hp, with low hours. The engine is regularly serviced and paired with a three bladed MaxProp propeller. A diesel generator, inverter, watermaker, diesel heating and reverse cycle air conditioning contribute to a high level of onboard autonomy. Tankage is generous, with approximately 620 litres of diesel and 880 litres of fresh water distributed from stainless steel tanks. Between 2023 and 2024, LADY CHRISTINA underwent an extensive professional refit in Finland, totalling approximately 1,660 working hours. The work included complete underwater hull restoration to bare laminate with controlled drying, moisture measurements, epoxy treatment and new antifouling. The rudder was fully opened, renovated and reassembled with new bearings installed. The mast base was completely renovated and repainted as part of the refit. Additional works included installation of a bow thruster, replacement of freshwater tanks and sanitation systems, servicing of all seacocks, winches and steering systems, inspection of electrical installations, and extensive interior refurbishment including sole boards and varnished surfaces. The teak deck, originally replaced in 2010, was sanded and refreshed as part of this programme. Offered VAT paid, LADY CHRISTINA presents as a carefully maintained and comprehensively updated example of the Swan 57 CC. With limited production numbers, a select ownership history and a substantial recent refit, she represents a well-documented and capable centre cockpit Swan suited to serious cruising.
