Tiny Living on the Blue Ocean The wooden boat Aase was launched for the first time on June 6, 1999. Despite her young age, she has character and soul. In recent times, she has undergone a transformation from a traditional sailboat to a seaworthy houseboat - for the adventurous. In collaboration with professional ship carpenters, the boat has been opened up with a focus on light, air, and a healthy atmosphere. The visible oak frames and solid planks of larch wood create a safe oasis for the dream of a life at sea. The wheelhouse has a headroom of 190 cm and, together with the many crafted windows, provides light and spaciousness - perfect for, for example, a hammock, yoga, or maybe a creative studio? From here, there is a good overview of the boat. From the newly established aft berth/lounge over the galley and up to the forward cabin. Amidships, there is a crafted bathroom with a newer toilet and holding tank. Below deck, a foundation has been built by ship carpenters for the ship's kitchen, providing a durable starting point for the current or future owners to realize their dreams. Following this, light, air, and space have been created in the forward cabin for all that life entails - clothes, shoes, bags, gear... fishing rods, surf equipment? Aase's deck is made of Oregon Pine, which, after a gentle sanding, has brought out the grain and light, making it look almost new. In recent years, a professional ship carpenter has applied Coelan varnish, making the deck virtually maintenance-free. There is ample space on both the deck and cabin floor if you wish to have multiple overnight guests. Aase sails steadily with a ketch rig: gaff mainsail, mizzen, jib, and staysail. She is equipped with red-brown sails, a bowsprit - with a handmade net following old traditions - dual steering positions (inside and outside), and davits for attaching a dinghy at the stern. The current owner has put effort into transforming her into a sailing houseboat, so the boat is currently derigged with a tent roof - a custom-made winter tent with large windows is included. Thus, the future owner can choose the practical finish for both the coachroof and hatch covers - the latter being the final outdoor touch awaiting completion. The engine is a 70 HP BLADT, installed in 2015, with freshwater cooling and only 140 operating hours. Hydraulic gearbox, three-blade propeller, and electrical system - with gel batteries, charger, inverter, and navigation equipment - make the boat ready for everyday trips as well as longer voyages. Hydraulic anchor winches are located fore and aft. Aase combines living space, soulful oasis, and seaworthy vessel in one. Where the future owner has a solid foundation to make their mark. With the current home port in Aarhus, you can enjoy morning coffee in the bay, anchor off Samsø in the afternoon, and dine on freshly caught fish in the evening. After a swim, you can relax in the spacious aft berth/lounge, beneath which radiators have been installed that can be heated in the colder months via the boat's brand-new and powerful Stroco 15.00 M heater. Please note that boarding Aase is only allowed by appointment for viewing with Yachtbasen.
