A beautiful, solid, fast, and high-quality Swedish-built boat with excellent sailing characteristics. The Omega 34 was designed by the world-renowned New Zealand/American yacht designer Ron Holland and built by the Vindø shipyard on the island of Orust. The boat features a tall fractional rig with swept-back spreaders, making it incredibly easy to handle. All halyards and trim lines are led to the cockpit. It is equipped with a furling headsail and a lazy-pack system for the mainsail. The mainsail, dating from 2020, features full-length battens and a ball-bearing batten car system. There is also an older spinnaker that has seen very little use and is in like-new condition. The spacious cockpit easily accommodates 6 people—whether under sail, in harbor, or gathered around the cockpit table. Below deck, the boat offers 6 berths and seating for everyone at the table. There is standing headroom of approximately 1.80 meters, extending all the way forward to the mast. Amenities include a gas stove with an oven and a cooler box. In the passageway, there is a head (toilet) equipped with a holding tank, a sink, and a storage cabinet. The boat features a beautiful teak deck, installed in 2000, which was refurbished with new caulking in 2019. With proper care and maintenance, the teak deck will last for many more years. The original Yanmar 2GM engine is equipped with a freshwater cooling system; it starts and runs flawlessly. Deck equipment includes, among other items, two Lewmar ST 42 self-tailing sheet winches, two Lewmar 40 two-speed winches (for the spinnaker/backstays), and two Lewmar 16 two-speed winches located on the coachroof for halyards and trim lines. The rig is set up for backstays; these are included but not currently installed. Equipment also includes an autopilot (Autohelm), a Victron battery charger with a Tystor split-charge relay, 2 new Contest compasses, a NASA Clipper depth sounder, a Lowrance chartplotter, an anchor with chain, spinnaker gear, mooring lines, and fenders. The boat is fully ready to sail, and everything is in proper working order. After 40 years on the water, there are some cosmetic areas that could use attention; with a bit of skill and some time, these can be brought back to excellent condition without significant expense—primarily below deck and in the cockpit. There are no signs of osmosis. Serious offers accepted. Ongoing improvements: Upper shrouds and turnbuckles replaced, 2021 All halyards and sheets (Dyneema), 2021 Mainsail with lazy-pack (Ulman), 2020 New toilet and holding tank, 2022 Two new compasses, 2023 Depth sounder, 2023 Fenders, 2019 Teak deck re-caulked, 2019 Windows removed and re-sealed, 2018 New bilge pump, 2026 Diesel pre-filter with water separator, 2025 Electric diesel pump, 2025 LED masthead navigation lights, 2023 Lagun folding teak cockpit table, 2023
