PERFECT CRUISING YACHT * TILLER STEERING * CLASSIC QUALITY See complete description, photos, and video at: www.yachtdreams.dk https://yachtdreams.dk/b-de/4242-hallberg-rassy-31-mk-ii - Very beautiful and well-maintained interior below decks - Full standing height throughout the saloon at 186 cm, and full-size berths - A true little Blue Water sailor - Mooring space can be purchased with the boat We are pleased to offer this classic vessel, built to the highest quality by the Swedish Hallberg-Rassy yard on Orust in the Swedish archipelago. She is designed by the renowned Germán Frers. The Hallberg-Rassy 31 Mark II is an improvement on the Hallberg-Rassy 31. The 31-footer was built, including Mk II, for 18 years (!) from 1992 to 2009 in 356 units, making it one of the longest production runs in Hallberg-Rassy's history. From 1996 onwards, the HR31 MK II was CE certified for Category A (Unlimited Ocean). She sails under the fine name: "Islander" "Islander" appears in original condition without major updates. She has simply been sailed and well-maintained over the years. The vessel is being sold solely because the owner has chosen to go ashore after many good years at sea. A Hallberg-Rassy 31 MK II is an exceptionally seaworthy and safe boat. It can comfortably be sailed with 4 to 6 adults on board. Alternatively, she can also be easily sailed singlehanded. All halyards are led to the cockpit. She is very spacious below decks, and the layout reflects the yard's experience, consideration, and very high quality throughout. It cannot be done better in a boat of 31 feet. She is built for adult sailors. INTERIOR AND COMFORT "Islander" features a classic layout with a lovely large cockpit. There is ample space due to the tiller steering. The entire crew can easily sit and find space around the removable cockpit table. While sailing, you enjoy the "real" sailing feeling with the tiller in hand or with the autopilot engaged when desired. The gear is stowed in a deep and large cockpit locker on starboard side, and you enjoy a forward view through the hardened and completely clear glass windows in the windscreen. There is comfortable teak everywhere on deck and in the cockpit. It feels good and looks great. One appreciates the pleasant surface of wood in both sun, warmth, and cold. Below decks there are 4 sleeping places in 2 cabins, plus room for up to 2 extra guests in the saloon. The toilet is centrally located right by the companionway from the cockpit. There is a shower and sink, as well as both cold and hot water. There is also a very good navigation or workspace on starboard side. The galley features a gas stove and oven as well as a fridge box and double sink. There is both cold and hot fresh water here, as well as a seawater tap. This allows you to conserve fresh water when necessary. The entire ship is heated with warm air ducts from a Webasto oil heater powered by diesel from the vessel's fuel tank. The impression is friendly and neat, with bright nice cushions everywhere and white ceilings. The brightness contrasts well with the beautiful solid teak and mahogany wood that all other furnishings are made of. Of course, there are also beautiful clear glass windows everywhere. They ensure good light entry and create a really nice impression. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The engine is the original Volvo Penta MD2020 with 18 hp, saildrive, and freshwater cooling from birth. A fine two-bladed folding propeller has been installed. CONDITION AND MAINTENANCE The boat appears very nice and tidy below decks. However, deck and cockpit need thorough polishing. All exterior teak also calls for spring cleaning and treatment. The standing rigging only needs washing and refreshing. In general, the teak on deck and in the cockpit appears quite nice considering its age. It still has many good years ahead of it with proper care and maintenance. The sprayhood shows signs of use. The cockpit tent looks fine and has not been used much. The engine and technical systems have been professionally maintained continuously, and every winter it has been stored safely on land under a full-cover breathable tarp (during this owner's time with the boat). The sails are in good usable condition. The mainsail is original with sail battens, while the headsail dates from 2010 with newer UV protection at its leading edge. Both sails have been professionally maintained regularly. The owner states that all equipment and systems onboard are fully functional. Below waterline "Islander" also looks neat and tidy. She was last antifouled for the 2026 season. BOAT'S HISTORY There have been a total of three owners of "Islander," and her original German yard receipt including VAT accompanies her. Third owner: 2012..2026 Current Danish couple; sailed in Denmark Second owner: 2004..2012 Danish owned; sailed in Denmark First owner: 1994..2004 German owned; sailed in Germany WELCOME ON BOARD Please contact us for further information or to arrange a viewing. The boat is launched, ready for departure, and quick takeover. "Islander" lies at a beautiful privately owned berth in a splendid East Jutland harbor. The berth can possibly be purchased at an additional cost.
