Remarks :Classic Wooden Gentlemen's Launch for sale in Kent This Classic wooden gentleman's Motorboat was built in 1960 by H.Gibbs of Teddington and offers 6 berths in five cabins. This vessel is currently being reinstated to her former glory by the owner.  The current owner’s father bought the vessel in 1962 and enjoyed family holidays on the vessel for 54 years before unfortunately passing away in 2016. Shella is ideal for coastal use or cruising rivers in comfort. Powered by two 1960 56hp Parson four-cylinder Diesel engines, which were last serviced in 2024. Accommodation :The Classic Wooden Motorboat provides between six to eight berths in five cabins. The forward cabin features two single berths, one to both port and starboard. This area also converts into an ensuite for the master cabin located behind, with a marine toilet located under the starboard berth and bath under the berth on the port side with pressurised hot and cold water. Moving aft, the master cabin features a double berth to port with under berth storage, two hanging wardrobes to starboard flanking a white sink mounted in a vanity unit with pressurised hot and cold water with under sink storage and mirror above. The Wheelhouse offers great visibility through three forward-facing windshields and two large side windows, providing excellent visibility when seated at the Helm. The helm position is located on the port side, with wheel steering and engine controls. The wheelhouse also offers bench seating to starboard and across the stern, leading to the aft galley and cabin.  There is also a drinks cabin in the area opposite the helm. The Wheelhouse provides easy access to the two 1960 56hp Parson four-cylinder Diesel engines. Moving aft via a companion way leads to the galley is located on the port side and is equipped with a 4-burner gas hob with oven and grill, fridge, a microwave, cupboard storage, and two single stainless-steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water. Hot water is supplied by the engine through a calorifier tank and a 240V immersion heater. Opposite the galley on the starboard side is the Heads compartment, which includes a sink mounted in a vanity unit with pressurised hot and cold water, a marine toilet, a mirror, a separate shower cubicle and a mixer shower. The stern Saloon offers a central table with two 4ft settees to both port and starboard, with under-berth storage. These berths easily convert into two single berths. The saloon also provides access to the stern cockpit and bathing platform. The project started in March 2017, and is due to be completed and relaunched in September 2025. This project has cost a considerable amount of Money, but the product will make the new owner very happy and proud of the vessel.
