Bakdekker 1150 now available in online auction. Everyone can bid until October 19, 2026. Classic Bakdekker with character and space What makes this Bakdekker special? This Bakdekker 1150 from 1927 is a characterful classic motorboat with a distinctive appearance, practical layout, and a rich sailing history. With a length of approximately 11.50 meters, a width of 2.75 meters, and a shallow draft of about 0.90 meters, it is excellently suited for navigating inland waters, lakes, rivers, canals, and ditches. Its sharp hull shape ensures that the boat glides smoothly through the water. Thanks to its shallow draft, it can access areas where deeper vessels cannot go. The high aft deck structure gives this beauty a recognizable silhouette and offers extra space on board. However, it should be noted that she has relatively high windage in strong winds. Steering is conducted from within the wheelhouse via a steering wheel. The boat features a single rudder and requires an active and attentive approach to maneuvering, as is typical for a classic vessel of this size. A bow thruster is not present; when mooring alongside higher banks, the stern is typically brought to the side first. How is the accommodation arranged? The accommodation is roughly divided into four sections. At the front is a sleeping area with two fixed berths. With the help of slats, these berths can be converted into one large bed. Underneath the beds are two freshwater tanks. The sleeping area is enclosed by two sliding doors featuring beautiful stained glass windows, giving its interior a unique nostalgic atmosphere that aligns well with the year of construction and classic appearance of this steel boat. Behind this area lies the kitchen and salon in one shared space. The kitchen features a granito countertop with a small sink and cupboards underneath. Water is supplied via a foot pump. On the opposite side is a second granito work surface with additional storage below it. This space includes two benches that can also be converted into a large bed, allowing for up to two extra sleeping places in addition to the two fixed berths. Practical storage space under the benches is available for provisions, dishes, clothing, and boating supplies. The wheelhouse forms the third section of the boat. It is made of meranti wood and surrounded by 5 millimeter tempered glass. This design gives the wheelhouse the character of a bright conservatory with views all around of the waterway. Two opening doors lead to the aft deck, while sliding doors are present on either side. Beneath the floor of the wheelhouse lies the engine room, which is soundproofed. Behind the wheelhouse lies the aft deck with railing. Under this deck are located the diesel tank and additional storage space. The finishing has been kept intentionally simple to allow future owners ample opportunities to customize the boat further to their taste and create a personal interior. What engine powers this classic boat? This Bakdekker is powered by a Peugeot Indenor DT 166 diesel engine—a six-cylinder inboard engine from 1970 with an output of 60 horsepower. The engine starts electrically and is operational. The indicated running hours stand at approximately 2,700 hours. The diesel tank has a capacity of about 100 liters and fuel consumption is around 3 liters per hour. This allows her to cruise at an expected speed of approximately 10 kilometers per hour and reach a maximum speed of about 15 kilometers per hour. In the wheelhouse are an oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer present. The engine room is located beneath the floor and equipped with sound insulation so that time spent in the wheelhouse remains pleasant while underway. The boat was taken out of the water for maintenance in 2026, during which antifouling was applied. Is this boat suitable for longer stays? Yes, this Bakdekker lends itself well to day trips, weekend stays, and vacations on the water. The combination of two fixed sleeping places and two additional sleeping places makes her versatile for couples, friends or small families. The kitchen, benches with storage space, sleeping quarters, and aft deck provide everything needed for relaxing stays on board. The water tank has a capacity of approximately 200 liters. Heating is provided by means of a stove; additionally, there may be an included Heatpol oil heater available as well. A toilet is not present; those who enjoy longer trips can utilize existing storage space at their discretion and further adapt furnishings to their desired boating style. What equipment is on board? For electrical provisions she has a solar panel and one battery with a total capacity of 240 ampere-hours. For anchoring there is one anchor attached to a line included as well as fenders and lines provided with her sale. A dinghy, trailer or bow thruster are not part of her equipment package; she weighs approximately 5,000 kilograms as stated. The boat has been used in various navigable areas including inland waters, canals, ditches, lakes and rivers. Her shallow draft makes her attractive for cruising areas with shallow entrances or secluded mooring spots. The high aft deck structure offers excellent visibility from both cockpit and wheelhouse while providing outdoor seating space on the aft deck to enjoy nature's beauty. Who would find this Bakdekker interesting? This classic Bakdekker will particularly appeal to someone who appreciates historical vessels with characterful lines along with freedom to further personalize their boat's finishing touches according to taste—she's not your standard production motorboat but rather an eye-catching presence with her own story to tell! Her current owner has enjoyed her for over twenty years creating countless memories along various journeys made possible thanks largely due her draft allowing access even into tranquil secluded spots where other boats cannot venture!
